摘要： PURPOSE:To make the surface potentials of the charger even over the entire length of drum by gradually decreasing the areas at both end parts of the insulation plate provided to the inside surface of the discharge plate opposedly disposed to a discharge wire as it goes toward the end part. CONSTITUTION:An insulation plate 5 such as of resin plate or the like is provided to a surface,e.g., bottom inside surface, of a discharge plate 2 opposed to a discharge wire 1 and both end parts of this insulation plate 5 are made in triangle type of such a shape that the areas thereof are gradually decreased toward the end parts. In the case of this charger, the surface potentials thereof become approximately even over the entire length of the drum as compared to ordinary chargers. Hence, the effective length of the discharge wire may be coincided approxiamtely to the image width and the length of the charger may be decreased.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a reliability of an ink jet head, and specifically, to surely protect electrodes and prevent bubbles from staying in the head. SOLUTION: Polarized thin substrate and thick substrate are bonded to be opposite in polarization direction. Ink channels and channels are cut to the thin substrate. Thereafter, grooves orthogonal to the channels and communicating with the channels are cut to the thick substrate. An electroless plating catalyst is adsorbed to the substrates to carry out Ni electroless plating. An organic insulating film is provided by electrodeposition. The plating provided to unnecessary points is removed by a YAG laser, whereby electrodes, connecting electrodes and wiring lines are formed. A top plate, a nozzle plate and an inlet plate are bonded to a manifold. The wiring lines are connected to a flexible cable by an anisotropic conductive film. Alternatively, the electroless plating may be carried out after the catalyst adhering to the plating unnecessary points is removed by the laser.

摘要： PURPOSE:To uniform the pressure of the developer layer on a developer carrier by pressing a flexible cylindrical member wherein gas or liquid is charged against the developer carrier and controlling the layer pressure of the developer. CONSTITUTION:The gas 4 is charged in the cylindrical member 1 from its end part 3, which is sealed while specific internal pressure is reached. The cylindrical member 1 wherein the gas 4 is charged is pressed against the developer carrier 10 so that their axes are held parallel, and then a developer is rubbed against and passed through the nip part formed opposite the developer carrier 10 by said pressing to control the layer pressure. In this case, normal air is usable as the gas charged in the cylindrical member 1, but inert gas such as gaseous nitrogen and gaseous carbon which reacts neither physically nor chemically is used preferably in consideration of the corrosion resistance, durability, etc., of rubber and other flexible materials used for the cylindrical member 1. Consequently, the developer layer with uniform thickness is obtained on the developer carrier 10.
