    • PURPOSE:To improve adhesiveness and wear resistance by providing an org. photoconductive layer in which an alkyl etherified melamine.formamide resin is used as a binder for a photoconductive material. CONSTITUTION:A coating liquid for forming an electric charge generating layer is prepd. by dispersing and dissolving the charge generating layer, resin, additives, etc. to an org. solvent such as tetrahydrofuran, etc. and is coated on a conductive substrate and is dried to form the charge generating layer. Separately, a coating liquid is prepd. by dissolving a charge transfer material, alkyl etherified melamine.formaldehyde resin alone or a resin which can cure by reacting with said resin and various additives into an org. solvent and is coated on the charge generating layer and is dried to laminate the charge transfer layer thereon. An electrophotographic sensitive body is thus formed. The conductive substrate having a conductive layer which is of OMEGAcm is adequate as the conductive base.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent offset and to decrese the frequency of exchanging rolls by using a layer of silicone rubber contg. pulverous powder silica for holding adsorptively silicone oil to constitute the surface of the roll for heat fixing. CONSTITUTION:The surface layer of the roll is formed of the silicon rubber prepd. by dispersing the pulverous powder silica for holding adsorptively the silicone oil not as a mere filler for the silicone oil but as an adsorbent for the silicone oil into said rubber. As a result, the oil bled by the press contact with the opposite rolls lasts for a long period although the quantity thereof is slight and the frequency of exchanging the rolls is decreased. The pulverous powder of several 10nm is preferable and is incorporated into the oil more preferably at 10-20wt% by the weight thereof. Said silica exhibits the characteristic of an oil compd. The oil compd. is preferably incorporated much in the part near the roll center, i.e., in the part in contact with the base body of the rubber. Such two- rubber layers in which the rubber layer rich with the oil compd. is wound on the base body and thereafter the layer poor with the oil compd. is wound thereon are equally preferable.
