摘要： PURPOSE:To improve heat radiation effect by improving the contact between an oscillatory coil and the outside air while reducing the height of a magnetic circuit, by moving one magnetic gap on the top or reverse surface to a flank far away from the center of oscillation. CONSTITUTION:Head arm 2 mounting magnetic head 1 and oscillatory coil 3 are supported on oscillatory shaft 4 rotatably. Rear-surface and side-surface yokes 8 and 9 are made in common and side-surface yoke 8 is fitted with two poles 11 and 11' and top-surface and reverse-surface yokes 12 and 13. The lower oscillatory coil is inserted into pole 11' and a permanent magnet and pole piece are so arranged that magnetic fields are formed in space 14' between top-surface 12 and pole 11' and space 15' between side-surface yoke 9 and pole 11'. Similarly, the upper oscillatory coil is provided.

In gap 7 where oscillatory coil 3 is inserted, a magnetic field is provided by the magnetic circuit consisting of yokes 9 and 10, permanent magnet 5, and pole piece 12 and flowing an electric current through oscillatory coil 3 puts magnetic head 1 in oscillatory motion around oscillation shaft 4 as a supporting axis.

Thus, the high speed, high reliability and high response can be obtained by constituting the air-tight cover 16 by a conductive material.

摘要： PURPOSE:To improve the operability of a magnetic disk device and to avoid damaging the disk surface and a ball bearing by providing a mechanism which presses a support member for self-stand of spindle to a magnetic disk or a hub from the base side to interlock with the attachement/detachment of a cover. CONSTITUTION:When a cover 3 is detached from a base 2, the free terminal of a spring 15 interlocks the attachement/detachment action of the cover 3. Thus a support member 14 for self-stand of spindle is pressed to the lower side of a magnetic disk 6, and the self-stand of the spindle 1 is backed up. This self- stand operation of the spindle 1 is through before the cover 3 is released from a positioning pin 16. In addition, a spindle stopper 17 is set with a minute gap (a) secured to a hub 9. As a result, an excessive moment is never applied to the contact between the magnetic disk 6 and a head arm 8 as well as to a lower ball bearing 4 even in case an intensive external force is applied to the spindle 1 under its self-standing action and therefore the spring 15 is bent. This improves the operability of a magnetic disk device and prevents the damage given to the disk surface and the ball bearing.
