    • PURPOSE:To enable the amount of fuel discharge from the injection nozzle of an accelerater pump to be regulated by allowing the length of accelerator pump lever which forms a link mechanism to be varied in a carburetor equipped with the accelerator pump. CONSTITUTION:An accelerator pump 42 is installed in the contiguous part to the second float chamber of a carbretor 12. Said accelerator pump 42 is able to be interlocked with the opening and closing operation of a throttle valve 15 through a link mechanism 43 installed above the carburetor 12. The connection point between an intermediate laver 45 and a connection rod 47 is set on the intermediate lever 45, and either the connection poit 45A for setting the length of the lever shorter or the connection point 45B for setting the length of the lever longer can be selected. As the length of the turning lever can be varied, the amount of fuel discharge from the injection nozzle of the accelerator pump can be regulated easily.

    • PURPOSE:To realize improvement of drivability of an engine while preventing its emission from worsening, by limiting the opening of a throttle valve through a dashpot and changing a condition of the dashpot operative or inoperative in accordance with a condition of the engine. CONSTITUTION:In case of low temperature of cooling water when a water temperature switch 40 is turned on, an electric current is conducted to flow in a coil 39, and a shifting valve 37 is moved leftward against a spring 38 to close a selector passage 34. In consequence, when a throttle valve 7 is closed, a chamber 14 in a dashpot 9 is communicated to the outside air through an orifice 49 in a delay valve 46, and a piston 15 is gradually lowered to prevent a rapid close of the throttle valve 7. While in case of high cooling water temperature, if the water temperature switch 40 is turned off, the shifting valve 37 both opens the selector passage 34 and closes a selector passage 35. In consequence, negative pressure in an intake passage 43 is introduced into the chamber 14, and the piston 15 is lowered through a diaphragm 12 to a position the piston is not contacted to a cam body 8, then the dashpot 9 is changed to an inoperative condition.

    • PURPOSE:To facilitate adjustment of the discharge of an accelerator pump by furnishing the rotation transmitting lever with an adjuster having spring action. CONSTITUTION:At an end of a rotation transmitting lever 14 installed on the carburettor body 1, an adjuster 16, with which the amount of projection can be adjusted by a spring 15 and a couple of nuts, is fitted facing the cam surface 12 of the drive lever 11. An operational arm 17 faces the working rod 10 for accelerator pump, and the abovementioned adjuster 16 is put in contact with the cam 12 by the rotational force in the A direction as shown by the arrow produced by the weight of a return spring 18 arranged in the accelerator pump chamber 7. The discharge of the accelerator pump 6 is adjusted by shifting those nuts in couple on the adjuster 16 and thereby changing the length of the adjuster 16. Besides, the drive lever 11 and rotation transmitting lever 14 are installed at one time using a single stay plate 19, that assures good effectiveness in assembly.
