    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical communication module for reducing both unnecessary electromagnetic waves emitted when a high frequency differential signal is transmitted and consumption power, and a flexible printed board.
      SOLUTION: The flexible printed board includes: a signal wiring pattern comprising transmission lines 20, 22 and 24 for connecting one end of an optical device with one end of a signal generating circuit, transmission lines 21, 23 and 25 for connecting the other end of the optical device with the other end of the signal generating circuit; a thin film resistor layer 28 formed in a region containing a region opposite to the transmission lines 22 and 23 to constitute a first micro-strip line together with the lines 22 and 23; a ground conductor 36 formed in a region except part of a region opposite to the thin film resistor layer 28 in a region containing a region opposite to the signal wiring pattern to constitute a second micro-strip line together with the transmission lines 24 and 25 (20 and 21); and insulation layers formed respectively among the signal wiring pattern, the thin film resistor layer 28 and the ground conductor 36.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transform the layer of a strip line without degrading an electromagnetic wave transmission characteristic of the strip line, and to transform the distance between ground conductors. SOLUTION: A region 20 for forming a strip line 21 of which the length in the extension direction is equivalent to 1/4 wavelength of a transmission signal is arranged between a region 10 and a region 30. The strip line 21 includes a strip conductor 22 and ground conductors 23 and 24. The strip conductor 22 is formed by extending a strip conductor 12 at the same pattern width. The ground conductor 23 is located in the same layer as that of a ground conductor 13, and the ground conductor 24 is located in the same layer as that of a ground conductor 34. The strip conductor 22 and a strip conductor 32 are electrically connected to each other through a through-hole 16-1. Thereby, when a transmission signal corresponding to the length of the strip line 21 is propagated, the difference between characteristic impedance values of a strip line 11 and a strip line 31 can be matched by the strip line 21.
