The telephone 2 has an address book function capable of registering a plurality of telephone numbers into a storage unit 10 by an input operation from an operating unit 12. The telephone 2 is provided with a control unit 4 which does not send the positional information even if a signal for requesting the positional information is received during telephone communication from the telephone of an opposite party, when the telephone communication is received in the case that the telephone number of an opposite party is not notified, or the telephone number notified from the telephone of the opposite party does not correspond to one of the plurality of telephone numbers registered in the unit 10 by the address book function.
