    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel battery cell that can enhance durability of a film electrode structure by avoiding concentration of flexural stress on an end portion of the film electrode structure caused by the pressure difference between an anode side and a cathode side.SOLUTION: A fuel battery cell C has a film electrode structure 2 having a frame 1; two separators 3A, 3B for sandwiching the film electrode structure and the frame therebetween; and gas seal members 11, 12 which are provided at the peripheral edge portions of diffuser portions D1, D2 formed between the frame 1 and each separator 3A, 3B. The position of the gas seal member 11 in the diffuser portion D1 at the cathode side and the position of the gas seal member 12 in the diffuser portion D2 at the anode side are offset to each other in the inner and outer directions of the diffuser portions D1, D2, whereby stress occurring portions are dispersed with respect to the gas pressure difference between the cathode side and the anode side, thereby enhancing the durability of the frame and the film electrode structure.
