    • PURPOSE:To measure the concentration of a slurry during transportation easily and securely by providing a movable pipe which moves up and down and a weight guage for measuring the weight of a slurry in the pipe atop of a slurry transportation pipe, separated at an intermediate part, on both end sides through flexible pipes. CONSTITUTION:The intermediate part of a slurry transportation pipe 3 is arranged nearly horizontally and separated into two parts, and both ends of a movable pipe 5 arranged nearly horizontally between them are connected in upward and downward moving state to the tips of the transportation pipes 3 through flexible pipes 6 made of urethane rubber. The movable pipe 5 is suspended from the fixed part of a ship so that it does not move horizontally, and a weight guage 8 which uses a load cell is provided at a halfway point of the supender 7. An electromagnetic flow meter 9 is provided to the intermediate part of the movable pipe 5, and the weight guage 8 and flow meter 9 are connected to an arithmetic controller 10 equipped with a computer. Thus, the concentration of a slurry during transpotation is measured easily and secured.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the idle time and to effectively use a work ship by providing a buoy recovering/installing device and a suspended matter recovering device on a hull and selecting the use as the need arises. SOLUTION: When a buoy 3 is to be installed at the prescribed position, a cover deck is removed from a deck 10, a sinker 5 is installed in a sinker storage recess 27, and a buoy main body 3A is mounted on a mount section with the sinker 5 kept separated. At the target position, the sinker 5 is lowered into the sea from a notch section 27A and installed at an installation section in the nearly vertical state with the buoy 3 kept in neary vertical state. When the buoy 3 is to be replaced, the buoy 3 is lifted on a hull 2 so that the sinker 5 is stored in the sinker storage recess 27 from the notch section 27A, then the buoy main body 3A and the sinker 5 are separately installed. When this ship is to be used as a suspended matter recovering ship, a drum 31 wound with an oil fence is installed on the stern side of the deck 10. A towing boat is cruised to stretch the oil fence on the sea from the stern and surround the necessary range, and an oil skimmer is driven to recover oil.

    • PURPOSE:To automatically measure the position of a whistle sound generating source with good accuracy, by arranging non-directional microphones at the apex positions of a right- angled equilateral triangle having short sides each having a length equal to or less than the half-wavelength of the whistle sound from the whistle sound generating source. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of sound collecting means 1 each constituted by arranging non- directional microphones M to the apex positions of a right-angled equilateral triangle having short sides each having a length equal to or less than the half-wavelength of the whistle sound from a whistle sound generating source are provided. The whistle sound received by each microphone M is inputted to a processing means 7 consisting of an amplifier 4, a BPF 5 or the like to remove noise. A microcomputer (MC) 8 leads out the time shift of the waveforms of the whistle sound due to the microphones M, that is, the phase difference from the output signal of the processing means 7 to lead out the direction of the whistle sound generating source from each sound collecting means 1. At this time, from the arrangement of the microphones M, the lead-out phase difference becomes a half-wavelength (180 deg.) at the max. and the lead-out accuracy of the time shift of the waveforms of the whistle sound is enhanced. Therefore, by the enhancement of the direction accuracy of the whistle sound generating source, the accuracy of the position of the whistle sound generating source calculated by triangulation is enhanced.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent coal particles from clogging by measuring a suction pressure and a discharge pressure of a slurry transfer pump and a current of a pump driving motor, computing a concentration or a density of slurry on the basis of the measurements, and supplying fresh water if the computed value exceeds a reference. CONSTITUTION:Pressure gauges 18, 19 and 20, 21 are disposed at suction sides and discharge sides of a suction pump 13 and a transfer pump 16 respectively, and ammeters 22, 23 are mounted to motors (not illustrated) for driving those pumps 13, 16 respectively. Those pressure gauges 18, 19, 20, 21 and ammeters 22, 23 are connected to an arithmetic controller 24 comprising a computer. Fresh water supply pipes 25, 26 open at the bottom of a hold 11 and at the upper part of a slurry storage tank 15, respectively. During transfer of slurry, output signals of the pressure gauges 20, 21 of the transfer pump 16 and the ammeter 23 are sent to the arithmetic controller 24, which computes a density of slurry from the measurements thereof. Based on the result, the controller controls opening or closing of a valve 28 of the fresh water supply pipe 26 of the tank 15 so that coal particles may be prevented from clogging.
