    • PURPOSE:To enable effective cooling of an electric apparatus throughout the use temperature region, by a method wherein at least two sorts of cooling media being different from an insulating medium in vapor pressure characteristic and boiling point are charged in a casing to enclose the electric apparatus and a stirring device is installed in liquid part of the cooling medium formed at lower side of the casing. CONSTITUTION:Cooling media are required to be different in vapor pressure characteristic and boiling point. When two sorts of cooling media are used, one cooling medium having low vapor pressure and high boiling point realizes effective liquid cooling throughout the use temperature region of the apparatus. Other cooling medium having high vapor pressure and low boiling point secures necessary and sufficient vapor pressure even at low temperature since cooling medium of lower boiling point (higher vapor pressure) first evaporates at higher rate, thereby effective evaporation cooling is performed throughout the use temperature region. Insulating medium and cooling medium may be selected widely from many materials. From materials which have been used with good results in gas insulation transformers and reactors, SF6 gas is applied to an insulating medium and fluorocarbon C8F16O and C7F15ON to a cooling medium.
