CONSTITUTION:A signal from a simulated current output section 6e of a microcomputor 6 is converted through a current conversion circuit 10 into a simulated leakage current being fed to a zero-phase current transformer 1. The zero-phase current transformer 1 de.livers an output signal proportional to the simulated leakage current which is amplified through a sensitivity amplifier 3 and fed to a leakage decision means 6a in the microcomputor 6. The microcomputor 6 operates and stores a conversion ratio, i.e.m the ratio of output signal to the simulated leakage current, at a conversion ratio determining section 6c. Even if leakage current of different levels are generated during actual use of an earth leakage breaker, the quantity of leakage current can be decided correctly through the leakage decision means 6a by correcting the output signal using the conversion ratio as a constant of proportion so long as the conversion ratio is stored at the section 6c.

A power source voltage observing circuit 4 is attached to supply a reset signal to a sensor circuit part 5 at the rime of the occurrence of the abnormality of the operating power source for the sensor circuit part 5. Conseaquently, when a temporary communication- unable condition, between the transmission unit and the sensor circuit part, occures due to the momentary interruption and outrage and noise of the operating power source of a sensor circuit part, the sensor circuit part is automatically reset to recover a communication-possible condition.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase safety by connecting a conductor plate for making connection to a pin for grounding to a grounding wire extension conductor, and by providing a detection part for detecting whether a detection wire is connected to the grounding wire extension conductor or not. SOLUTION: A conductor plate 9a is connected to a detection wire 15, and a conductor plate 9b is connected to a ground wire 4 for connecting to a ground extension conductor 8a where the ground wire 4 is extended. The continuity/non- continuity between the detection wire 15 and the ground wire extension conductor 8a is made by a detection part 16. At the detection part 16, the series connection of a current generation part 17 and a load 18 is inserted between an end that is not connected to the conductor plate 9a of the detection wire 15 and an end that is not connected to the conductor plate 9b of the ground wire extension conductor 8a, and a load voltage detection part 19 that detects the voltage across the ends of the load part 18 is provided, thus preventing an operator from using a feeder system without knowing the possibility of electric shock and a burn while the ground path has been broken and hence achieving an extremely safe feeder system.

CONSTITUTION: A control section 10 receives a prescribed level of a signal corresponding to the first rated breaking current from the characteristic memory section 8 of a memory section 7, on the basis of an input signal from a variable means 2, and outputs a trip signal to an open/close drive means 12, when current detected with a current detection means 1 is equal to or above the rated breaking current and continues longer than the preset time. Also, a control section 11 receives the prescribed level of a signal corresponding to the second rated breaking current from the characteristic memory section 9 of the memory section 7, on the basis of an input signal from a variable means 3. When the sum of two current vectors detected with the means 1 is equal to or above the second rated breaking current and continues longer than the preset time for the value thereof, the section 11 outputs a trip signal to the means 12. According to this construction, a circuit breaker with the function of a current limiter can be provided.

When the unbalanced state is judged by the circuit 3b, a signal showing the unbalanced state is transmitted to indicators 41a, 41b to light a LED.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shut down a cable run for fire prevention by monitoring voltage between lines of receptacles for the detection of a short circuit resulting in arc discharge, and discriminating a voltage waveform in normal operation from the one at the time of an arc short circuit. SOLUTION: An arc detector 1 is disposed on a receptacle, and a breaker 4, a voltage detecting line, and a power circuit 5 are connected. The power circuit 5 has a sufficient capacity to output stable voltage to the arc detector 1 even if an arc short circuit occurs. Test buttons 2-5 are switches for verifying the operation of the arc detector 1 for dividing power supply voltage by means of a test voltage divider, and applying the voltage lower than the power voltage to a filter 2-1. The filter 2-1 removes high frequency noise from the power voltage. The noises are superimposed on a house-wiring, and removed by filters to increase the circuit protection and detection precision of the arc detector 1. It is thus possible to detect and protect the arc short circuit, and the serial arc of the house-wiring on the downstream side of the receptacle.
