    • PURPOSE:To realize an error checking method of a RAM with extremely high reliability by obtaining a complement of 1 for data on a back-up area and using this complement as the error checking data to check the relevant relation. CONSTITUTION:A complement of 1 is obtained for data of all back-up areas and written into an error check area when a back-up action is started. Then it is decided whether all error checking data are kept or not in the relation of the complement of 1 for the data written into the back area. Based on this deciding result, it is decided at the end of the back-up action whether the backed-up data is normal or not. As a result, a malfunction is produced only in case the same bit as the bit that is not kept normally is not kept normally either for the data on the error check area when the data on the back-up area is not kept normally. Then the probability of malfunctions is extremely reduced.

    • PURPOSE:To accurately perform consecutive photographing to the previously recorded final video, by recording a prescribed number of pulse signals when a tape is run in the reverse direction at the time of temporary stop of picture recording and performing cue track erasion by continuing the running in the reverse direction for prescribed time even after the recording is completed. CONSTITUTION:When a temporary stop signal is given to a control circuit 8 from a video recording and reproducing system 10, the circuit 8 stops the feeding of a magnetic tape 13 after the recording on the final video track being recorded is completed and reverse the running direction of the tape 13. Simultaneously, the circuit 8 opens a gate circuit 2' and records pulses from a reference signal generator 1 on a cue track by means of a cue head 5 by a prescribed number, for example, three pulses. After the pulses are recorded, the gate circuit 2' closes the gate from the generator 1 and opens the gate from an erase signal generator 25 upon receiving the command of the circuit 8, and the tape 13 continues running in the reverse direction for a prescribed time. While the tape 13 is run in the reverse direction, the cue track is erased and, after the erasion of the cue track is completed, the tape 13 is stopped. Therefore, malfunctions at the time of restarting video recording are prevented and accurate consecutive photographing to the previously recorded final video can be realized.

      SOLUTION: The number of sheets required for a composition is determined by a CPU 19 according to the average and the maximum value of the image data detected in an image signal processing unit 4. First, the image data of the first sheet stored by a photography image memory 5 is written in a reference image memory 6 as reference image data, and written in an image temporary memory 8. The image data on the second sheet or after is compared with the reference image data by a movement detection unit 7, and a motion vector is detected.
