    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the deformation of a lip tip under a high pressure by minutely separating the tip angle part of a rubber lip tip arranged closer to a fluid housing chamber over a seal element and slid on a rotating shaft from a rotating shaft in a non-pressurized state, and bringing it into contact with the rotating shaft in a pressurized state. SOLUTION: In the non-pressurized state of a fluid housing chamber 33, the tip angle part 14 of a lip tip 13b in a rubber lip 13 is retained in a linear contact state or minutely separated state with no fastening margin to the circumferential surface of a rotating shaft 32. In the pressurized state of the fluid housing chamber 33, a self-sealing force F1 to the circumferential surface of the rotating shaft 32 acts on the tip angle part 14 since the pressure P of a high-pressure fluid acts on the lip part 13, and the tip angle part 14 makes contact with the rotating shaft 32. On the other hand, since no straining force by the rubber elasticity of the lip 13 is generated to the circumferential surface of the rotating shaft 32, the force acting on the rotating shaft 32 of the lip tip 13b is reduced by the portion of the straining force. Accordingly, the contact surface pressure of the lip tip 13b can be reduced to reduce the wear.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize the shortening of the axial dimension by forming a shallow annular recessed part along the pressure receiving side of the circumferential edge of a piston body to provide a thin wall part on the circumferential edge, forming the thin wall part into cover form, and fixing a seal lip thereto. SOLUTION: In the circumferential edge part 2 of a piston body 1, an annular recessed part 12 having a small dimension ΔT is formed along the pressure receiving side (pressure chamber 5 side), and a thin wall part 13 is provided on the circumferential edge part 2. The axial dimension A1 on the circumferential side of a piston 4 itself is reduced by ΔT, and the dimension B1 from the deep end surface 8b to the low pressure end side closer to the circumference of the piston body 1 is also reduced by ΔT. The axial dimension A1 of the piston 4 itself can be reduced, although the reduction is only the dimension ΔT of zero point several mm to about 3 mm, without loosing the strength, elastic repelling force, flexibility and sealing property of a seal lip 3 or while keeping the wall thickness T0 (thickness dimension) of the sheet metal piston body 1 as it is.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealed structure usable from a low pressure to a high pressure, low in frictional resistance to a reciprocating rod and long in life. SOLUTION: The sealed structure includes: a rubber elastic seal 10 provided with an inside diameter lip 13 and an outside diameter lip 14 installed in a recessed groove 4 formed on the inner circumference of a hole through which the reciprocating rod 1 is inserted; and a backup ring 16 supporting the back surface 15 of the elastic seal 10. In the sealed structure, a synthetic resin guide ring 20 is provided which integrally has a thin wall section 20B the low pressure side end 25 of which abuts on the backup ring 16, and which supports the seal inner circumference surface 10C of the elastic seal 10 at a position near the back surface 15 thereof; and a bulging section 20A the cross section of which has an arched shape which is formed continuous to the thin wall section 20B and is fitted into a small recessed groove 19 formed in an axially intermediate section of the seal inner circumferential surface 10C. The sealed structure is configured such that when the elastic seal is pressurized, the rubber in the vicinity of the root of the inside diameter lip 13 of the elastic seal 10 is guided in the outside diameter direction by the bulging section 20A the cross section of which has the arched shape.
