    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress hampering of sealability or reduction of thickness caused by corrosion of a gland part, by reducing a content of a corrosive material such as H

      2 in steam for a gland seal introduced into a gland part having a labyrinth seal of a geothermal turbine.
      SOLUTION: The geothermal turbine device includes: a geothermal turbine rotary-driven by geothermal steam supplied through a main steam pipe; a shaft of the geothermal steam penetrating a turbine casing; and a shaft seal part in which the labyrinth seal to which steam for seal is supplied is applied to the shaft. As steam for seal, clean steam condensate made by removing the corrosive material from the geothermal turbine after drive of a geothermal turbine drive is heated and evaporated by branched main steam branched from the main steam pipe, and is supplied to the labyrinth seal.

    • PURPOSE:To secure good uniformity in the thickness of a cast slab in a trans verse direction by shifting a pouring nozzle in the transverse direction of the cast slab so as to eliminate the difference between the thicknesses at both side end parts of the case slab during casting. CONSTITUTION:A controller 13 fetches the thickness data (i), (j) detected with sensors 12a, 12b, and based on the data, control signals (k), (l) are sent to the molten metal pressing devices 11a and 11b in a pouring nozzle shifting device 11, respectively and by this working, the shifting of a tundish 10 and a pouring nozzle 4 are controlled. Then the molten steel temp. at the thin slab thickness side is higher than the molten steel temp. at the thick slab thickness side. The controller 13 issues the command for shifting a pouring nozzle 4 toward the thick side of slab thickness to the shifting device 11 so as to eliminate temp. difference between then and the shifting device 11 shifts the pouring nozzle 4 to lower position of the molten steel temp. in a pouring basin 6 by driving a hydraulic device receiving the command. Thus, the cast slab 8 having substantially the same slab thickness at both side edge parts is cast.
