    • PURPOSE:To form a plating layer of a uniform thickness without oxidizing a Zn plating bath by gas wiping the inside and outside surfaces of a steel pipe drawn out of the Zn plating bath with an inert gas at the time of galvanizing the inside and outside surfaces of this steel pipe. CONSTITUTION:The air within the steel pipe 21 to be Zn plated on the inside and outside surfaces is replaced with the gaseous N1 which is the inert gas; thereafter, the steel pipe is immersed into the galvanizing bath 22 to stick molten Zn on the inside and outside surfaces of the steel pipe 21. The gaseous N2 1a is then blown to the outside surface of the steel pipe 21 by an injection nozzle 2 to wipe the surface with the gas and to uniformalize the deposition of the Zn at the time of pulling up the steel pipe 21 from the galvanizing bath 22 by means of a magnet roller 24 of a pulling up device 23. The steel pipe 21 is heated by an induction heater 4 in such a manner that heat input falls gradually from the front end toward the rear end right thereafter, by which the temp. of the plated steel pipe 21 is uniformalized over the entire length. The gaseous N2 1b is then blown to the inside surface of the steel pipe 21 by the injection nozzle 3 to form the uniform Zn plating layer on the inside surface. Since air is not used as the wiping gas, the loss by oxidation of the Zn does not arise.
