摘要： PURPOSE:To make disconnection of a heater due to oxidation or corrosion, which is a weak point of a conventional metallic heater, into nil, by forming the heater of conductive ceramics. CONSTITUTION:A disclike heater 1 is made of conductive ceramics and possesses a fixing screw hole 2 to an electrode (ground side terminal) serving concurrently as a plug provided on a central part of the heater 1. An external circumferential part 1a is in a semicircular shape so that attachment and detachment of a bimetal finger, which is the other electrode (an electric power source side terminal) fitting over the part 1a, are easy. When a plug 12 is pushed into a housing of a main body 11 of a lighter by holding a hnob 13, a heater 14 is fitted in the metal finger 15, an electrification circuit is constituted and the heater is heated. When a temperature of the heater arrives at a predetermined temperature, the bimetal finger 15 is opened, the plug 12 is pushed back to a position occupied by the same prior to its insertion through force of a built-in spring and at the same time the electrification circuit is interrupted. Then a cigarette is ignited by pulling out the plug 12 by a hand.
