    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a fail-safe function, highly accurate control and suppression of circuit heat generation by exciting an injector even when a boost circuit of a control device for an internal combustion engine is broken. SOLUTION: The control device for the internal combustion engine comprises the boost circuit, a switching element, a current detecting resistor and a controller. The boost circuit is used to boost a power source voltage and the controller is used to control the switching element so as to enable the boosted voltage to flow to a solenoid coil for the injector. When the boost circuit is broken, the injector solenoid coil is excited by using the power source voltage without using the boosted voltage and without creating a peak current, so as to generate a precharge current to promote valve opening of the injector, a first holding current required for opening the injector and a second holding current lower than the first holding current and required for retaining the valve opened state of the injector. • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve packaging density of an electronic component of an electronic circuit device having a boss structure.
SOLUTION: A boss 1 in contact with one of surfaces of a printed board 5 for holding the printed board 5 and an electronic component 3 mounted thereon is provided on a base member 4. The area of the contact surface of the boss 1 with the printed board 5 is formed to be smaller than the packaging area of the component 3 mounted thereon. A space is formed between the board 5 and a part other than a contact with the boss 1, and the electronic component is packaged in the space.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that a dealer can not conventionally erase and rewrite a data from an outside memory rewriting machine 111 against a specified address of a non-volatile memory 108 of an engine control device 101 beause of inputting the individual data for each of vehicles.
SOLUTION: The dealer can erase and rewrite a part of a block of the non-volatile memory 108 of the engine control device 101 by the outside memory rewriting machine 111 and optionally rewrite in accordance with a format previously specified from this memory rewriting machine 111. Additionally, the dealer can rewrite the required individual data of the vehicle in the non- volatile memory 108 of the engine control device 101 easily and by a safe means not influencing upon engine control and read out its contents easily by using a special device.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve heat radiation property of heat radiating element and electromagnetric shield property by partly exposing a metal core portion from resin of the substrate covering metal core and electrically conducting it to a metal case. SOLUTION: The neck portion 8 and end portion 9 of a screw 5 to fix the substrates 1, 2, 3 are fixed by resin to a metal core corresponding to a part of the layer structure of substrate and to a metal case 4 for covering the resin corresponding to a part of the layer structure of the substrate covering the metal core. The metal core of substrate 3 can be electrically made conductive to the metal case 4 by cutting a part of the resin of the substrate 3 to become shorter than the substrate 2 and then electrically making conductive the metal core 3 of substrate 3 and metal case 4 by exposing the metal part of the substrate 1. Therefore, heat radiating efficiency of a power transistor 6 as the power element can be raised. Moreover, electromagnetic shielding effect can be improved by establishing electrical conductivity between the substrate 3 and the entire part of the case 4.

    • PURPOSE: To perform the use of a low-cost drive element by a method wherein a current flowing through the drive element of a heater and heat generation are respectively suppressed by controlling a heater to activate an O2 sensor according to the running state of an engine and drive circuits for heaters are individually controlled. CONSTITUTION: In an engine 2 controlled by a control device 1, a plurality of O2 sensors 3 and 4 with a heater to detect respective air-fuel ratios are disposed before and after a catalyst 5. The control device 1 controls at least a fuel injection device 7 based on a detecting signal from at least a crank angle sensor 6. In this case, respective heaters to activate the O2 sensors 3 and 4 are controlled according to the running state of the engine 2. A drive circuit for each heater is controlled according to the temperature of cooling water for the engine 2. Further, the drive circuits for the respective heaters are individually controlled. This constitution respectively suppresses the current and heat generation of drive elements for the heaters and uses a drive element a cost of which is lower than a conventional device.

    • PURPOSE:To output a video image kept horizontal irrespective of the inclination of a video camera by detecting the angle of the inclination of the photodetecting surface of an image pickup element, and making the range of prescribed size in the picture of the photodetecting surface a video image output range, and displacing the video image output range to generate a video signal in accordance with a detected signal. CONSTITUTION:The video signal obtained by image pickup at a photodetector part 1 is stored in a memory 4 by a data input/output circuit 3 after being digitized by an A/D conversion circuit 2. The data input/output circuit 3 executes the write-in and the read-out of a digitized video signal in the memory 4. A horizontality detection circuit 5 detects and outputs the inclination because the photodetector part 1 inclines against horizontality, and detection output is controlled by a horizontality correction and control circuit 6. In the data input/output circuit 3, the video signal stored in the memory 4 is read out while displacing it in accordance with the inclination. Thus, the video output becomes capable of being kept always horizontal. By executing electrically a horizontality correcting system, miniaturization, lightening in weight, low power consumption, and low cost can be realized, and the horizontality can always be kept at high speed.
