    • PURPOSE:To shorten the down time by matching a communication speed and a voltage level with an acoustic coupler and an adapter for the connection to a telephone channel when diagnosing the malfunction by transmitting data to be controlled through the telephone channel. CONSTITUTION:A thyristor converter 2 is connected to a motor 3, digitally controlled by a microproceessor 6, the cause is stored in a memory 7 at the malfunction time, read out by an input/output unit 12, thereby shooting the cause. When the analysis of the cause is difficult, it is transmitted to the input/output unit with screen at the center by using an adapter 16, an acoustic coupler 15 and a telephone channel, and diagnosed. At this time a changeover switch and a voltage level converter are provided in the adapter 16, thereby enabling to alter the voltage level to the transmission system. Accordingly, the down time can be shortened.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent the inflow of overcurrent due to the failure in commutation, by automatically changing a control angle for a prescribed time after the stoppage of a digital control circuit. CONSTITUTION:A time-up detection circuit 33 generates a low output when no control angle signal is entered for a prescribed time. A flip-flop 34 performs shifting when it receives a shifting instruction. A control angle register 32 can be used as either a counter or a register. When the digital control circuit 7 is normal, the control angle register 32 is used as a register. When the digital control circuit is abnormal, the control angle register is used as counter. A control angle instruction is thus changed at a constant ratio after the stoppage of the digital control circuit. A thyristor gate pulse is thereafter suppressed. Even if a digital controller becomes abnormal due to some cause, the thyristor gate pulse is not immediately eliminated and the control angle is once shifted and then suppressed. Therefore, no commutation failure takes place even in inverter operation.
