CONSTITUTION:The incident input image to the photoelectric cathode 1 of a preprocessing tube 11 is converted into a photoelectric image. In this case, in order to expand or reduce the photoelectric image, the voltage fed from the output terminal a of a power source 7 to an electrode of an acceleration/ focus electron range system 2 is controlled. In order to rotate the image, the current from the output terminal b of the power source 7 to a coil 6 is converted, and moreover, to shift the image two-dimensionally, the voltage c to be applied to a deflection electrode 3 is controlled. The electronic image which has received the effect of the rotary system or the expansion/reduction system is radiated on a microchannel plate 4, and multplied there, and then it excites a phosphor 5 to illuminate.

    • PURPOSE:To derive a difference between pictures by writing the picture on the surface of an electro-optical crystal by a charge. CONSTITUTION:A picture IA is supported on a picture placing base 22, and an image is formed on a photoelectric surface 31 of a space optical modulation tube 3. An electron flying to the part corresponding to image parts IA1, IA2 of the picture IA, a charge of the surface of its part becomes sigmapi, and as for the part IA3 in which no image exists, a positive charge sigmapi/2 is maintained. A picture IB is supported on the picture placing base 22, an image is formed on the photoelectric surface 31 of the space optical modulation tube 3 by an optical device, and the picture IB is written on an electrooptic crystal 33 by applying a write voltage for a prescribed time T from a terminal (a) of a controlling circuit 11. An electron flying and adheres to the part corresponding to image parts IB1, IB2 of the picture IB. The write time T is a period in which a charge of the part of IB1 reaches the positive charge sigmapi/2 accumulated uniformly in the preparation stage, and in this case, a charge of the part IB2 becomes zero. A picture is obtained by irradiating the charge image formed in this way by linearly polarized laser light, and observing light which has transmitted through a polarier 10.

    • PURPOSE:To eliminate the influence of natural birefringence by inserting an electro-optic crystal for bias level correction which is made of the same kind of crystal with a modulating element and has transparent electrodes on both surfaces into an optical path through which laser light reaches a polarizer. CONSTITUTION:An image 1 is irradiated with incoherent light and projected on the photoelectric surface 31 of a spatial modulating tube 3 through a lens 2. The converted electron image is formed on the input surface of a microchannel plate 33 through the lens operation of an electrode 32 and multiplied to form a charge image on the surface of a 55 deg.-cut LiNbO3 single crystal plate 34. The light from a laser 4 is passed through a polarizer 7 to be polarized by 45 deg. from an X axis, and made incident to the crystal 34 from the reverse surface; and the polarized light is retarded according to charge, and passed through LiNbO3 crystal 10 for bias correction of the same kind with 34 and a polarizer 11 to obtain an image modulated by the input image 1. An adjusted voltage is applied between the electrodes 10a and 10b to increase the extinction ratio.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain a streak tube not generating unnecessary emission by providing a bulkhead with an opening including the tube axis between a photoelectric surface and a deflection electrode, maintaining the cover of the opening at a closed position while the photoelectric surface is produced, and normally opening it to form a pass route of electrons. CONSTITUTION:A space in a vacuum airtight container 3 containing a photoelectric surface 4, a mesh electrode 5, a focus electrode 6, and an aperture electrode 7 and a space in the container 3 containing a deflection electrode 8 and a phosphor screen 9 are divided by a bulkhead 30. An opening 13 is provided on the bulkhead 30 and a cover 14 is provided facing the opening 13. The center of the opening 13 is made to match a tube axis and its position in the tube axis direction is located at or near a crossover point 11 where a photoelectron beam is focused. During a production process, the cover 14 closes the opening 13 by gravity, and antimony stored in a branch tube 18 is extracted and deposited on a photoelectric surface substrate 1. Next, an alkali metal in a branch tube 17 is evaporated and combined, and after the stabilizing treatment the process is completed. Then, the attitude of the container 3 is changed, the opening 13 is opened and the cover 14 is fixed, thus unnecessary emission can be prevented.
