摘要： PURPOSE:To display the total sum of cash handed to a bank clerk from a customer for deposit, by operating and supplying a cash data to which discrimination was impossible via a proof machine and then displaying the cash data to a display of the customer side after adding it to the amount of cash that could be discriminated. CONSTITUTION:A customer 4 writes an amount of transaction on a slip and gives this slip together with cash to a bank clerk 3. The clerk 3 puts the received cash into a slit 11 of a cash discriminator 1 and then feeds the amount written on the slip by means of a ten-key 22. For the cash discriminated as genuine notes, a cash type signal is supplied to a control part 13 and the amount of cash discriminated to a totalizer 32 is totalized. While the clerk 3 pushes an addition key 24 when the key input is over with all returned amounts of cash. Thus the amount of a control part 27 is added with the amount totalized by the totalizer 32. This output value (total sum of cash) is supplied to a register 36 and then displayed to a display 37.

If two peaks overlap each other in the same clock, either one is disregarded and two kinds of character code are generated to recognize the read character.

摘要： PURPOSE:To improve the rate of character recognition by recognizing a character by correlating the read character to a character that corresponds to the width of the letter. CONSTITUTION:A microprocessing unit MPU11 sends a card in the lateral direction at a constant speed when it senses a card detection signal by a sensor 16. A magnetic head for reading 18 acans the card relatively and reads magnetic ink. The reading signal from the head 18 passes through an amplifier 19 and an LPF20 and converted to a digital signal by an A/D converter 21 and stored once in an RAM22. Then, the MPU11 detects a starting point of the character from read data stored in the RAM22, and at the same time, detects end point of the letter referring to the starting point, and detects the width of the character. The MPU11 compares the width with stored reference code, and when they coincide, stores it in the RAM22. Thus, by recognizing a character to be read by correlating it only with a character corresponding to the width of the character, erroneous reading can be reduced.
