    • PURPOSE:To conduct accurately the detection of a partial low mu road by detecting the partial low mu road in a case in which anti-skid control in regard to rear wheels becomes necessary within a set time after the start of anti-slid control in regard to front wheels. CONSTITUTION:A four wheel drive vehicle is equipped with a central differential gear 10 and respective front and rear differential gears 20, 30. Respective liquid pressure control valves 50, 52, 56 to connect the respective wheel cylinders 40-46 of respective vehicle wheels 26, 28, 36, 38 to a liquid pressure source 54 are controlled by means of an anti-skid controller 62 on the basis of respective outputs from respective vehicle wheel speed sensors 70-76 or the like. In this instance, a partial low mu road is detected in a case in which the anti-skid control of respective rear wheels 36, 38 becomes necessary within a first set time after the start of the anti-skid control of respective front wheels 26, 28. The start of anti-skid control in regard to respective rear wheels 36, 38 is prohibited within a second set time that is between the start time point of anti-skid control in regard to respective front wheels 26, 28 and the start time point of the first set time.

    • PURPOSE:To enable a normal side brake device to hold its fluid pressure to a proper value, by setting a target wheel speed, which is set in accordance with an estimated car body speed, so that a difference between the target wheel speed and the estimated car body speed increases larger when a defect is detected in one system of the two-system brake devices. CONSTITUTION:The captioned device, which detects in a wheel speed detecting means E a rotary speed of wheels A, B in each group of plural wheels divided into two groups estimating a car body speed in accordance with the detection output being based on the maximum of the wheel speeds in a target speed setting means F, sets a target wheel speed lower than this estimated speed. And the device, when the speed of each wheel decreases lower than the target wheel speed, controls a brake fluid pressure by a fluid pressure control unit G so that the wheel speed increases to almost the target wheel speed. Here the device is constituted setting the target wheel speed so that its difference from the estimated car body speed increases larger than normal by a defect-time control means I when a defect in one of the two systems is detected by a defect detecting means H.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively prevent the resonance frequency of a vehicle in yaw direction and the resulting traveling stability of the vehicle from being lowered when a reciprocating steering is performed at a frequency in a yaw resonance frequency range without excessively increasing a steering reaction at normal steering. SOLUTION: A steering frequency Pc is calculated by the detection of reversal in a steering direction to determine whether or not the steering frequency is within the range of a specified steering frequency and may cause the yaw resonance frequency on the vehicle (S30-100). If the yaw resonance frequency may occur, a viscosity compensating toque Td for preventing the yaw resonance oscillation of the vehicle based on a steering speed ω, a vehicle speed V, and the maximum value Tp of the magnitude of a steering torque Ts is calculated to a value larger than a value obtained at normal steering (S140-170). An electric motor 26 is controlled based on a target control toque Tc obtained as the sum of a supporting steering toque Ta based on the steering torque Ts and the viscosity compensating toque Tdf after the treatment of a low-pass filter (S180200).     • PURPOSE:To secure a control characteristic that coincides precisely with a road surface characteristic (the coefficient of friction), by deciding the control characteristic of brake pressure at anti-lock control on the basis of not only acceleration/deceleration in a vehicle longitudinal direction but also acceleration/ deceleration in a vehicle latitudinal direction. CONSTITUTION:A brake pedal 10 is connected to a master cylinder 14 through a booster 12. Meanwhile, the master cylinder 14 is connected to respective brake wheel cylinders 26, 36, 46, 54 at respective right and left and front and rear vehicle wheels FL-RR through respective plural solenoid valves 22, 43, 42, 50 and liquid passages 24, 34, 44, 52 or the like. Respective solenoid valves 22... are respectively controlled by means of an electronic control unit 80 on the basis of respective detection signals from respective vehicle wheel speed sensors 102-106 and respective acceleration sensors or the like.
