    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify operation, when the user is away from hone by providing an operation key for switching a at hove mode to an absence mode, an operation key to set a transfer mode to the title communication terminal and simultaneously conducting the changeover to the absence mode and the setting of the transfer mode, when either of the operation keys is operated. SOLUTION: An operation section 8 is provided with an absence/presence key 8a that is an operation key for switching the presence mode into the absence mode and with a transfer key 8b that sets a transfer mode. The changeover from the absence mode to the presence mode and the release of the transfer mode are conducted simultaneously, by having only to operate either (8a or 8b) of the operation keys. A facsimile terminal is provided with a changeover function between the absence mode and the presence mode and a setting function of the transfer mode. A section 7 is provided with an absence lamp 7a that lights or blinks when the absence mode is selected and a transfer lamp 7b that lights or blinks when the transfer mode is set.

A communication equipment is called to confirm the caller's number and the voice message from the remote location, a password is inputted, and when the person himself is confirmed, the caller's number in an incoming call recording table 81 of the memory 8 is read, the table 83 corresponding to the caller's voice message is retrieved, the voice message data of the caller corresponding to the caller's number is read and transmitted to a data modem 6 by a control circuit 7. The transmitted voice message data of the caller is reproduced as a voice message and is transmitted to a line by the data modem 6.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a telephone system which is capable of instantaneously dealing with a telephone call that is received during the outing of the called subscriber, via a terminal prepared at the outing destination after the telephone call has been cut. SOLUTION: A telephone directory storage area is secured as an electronic telephone directory, and many pairs of necessary telephone numbers and names are registered in the storage area. The telephone number of a terminal (having a character message display function) of the outing destination, where the transfer of calls are desired has been, previously registered. If an extension receives an incoming call, the originator number received with the incoming call is stored (102). The presence or the absence of a message is stored (108), after a circuit has been opened (105, 107). Then the automatic outgoing is performed to the terminal of the outing designation (109). If the originator number is registered in the electronic telephone directory, the originator number and name and the presence or the absence of a message are converted into the DTMF signals and transmitted. If the originator number is not registered in the telephone directory, the originator number, the presence or the absence of a message are converted into the DTMF signals and then transmitted.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communications terminal with a one-touch reply function that sends a state of a called party to a caller through the operation of the called party in the case of receiving an incoming call by the called party communication terminal (mainly, in the case that no reply is made) and that changes dealing with the incoming call in a way different from usual dealing depending on each circumstance of the called party. SOLUTION: Pluralities of reply messages are stored in a reply message storage section 7. A key 10 is provided with a one-touch key 10a that is used when the communication terminal cannot directly reply an incoming call and a tentative reply key 10b, a dial key 10c with a special number to select a message which is used together with the tentative reply key 10b, and a dial key 10d with a special number to shift the incoming call to other state. That is, the communication terminal is provided with reply functions such as a holding function, a transfer function, a voice mail function and interruption at the end of call, and it properly copes with a case when the communications terminal cannot directly reply an incoming call. Furthermore, a message to be sent to a caller and a call processing to shift an incoming call to another state are preset to the one-touch key 10a.
