    • PURPOSE:To reduce the turning force resistance of a liquid-sealing submersible motor, by closing the opening section of a slot and by using a wedge formed so that the inner peripheral face of a stator may be smoothed. CONSTITUTION:A slot 4 is provided through the inner peripheral side 10 confronting a rotor 3 via space 14. At the bottom of the slot 4, in the axial direction, stator coils 7 are collected in a trapezoidal shape and are inserted in insulating paper 8 to come in contact with a shoulder section 9 under a mouth section 6, and a formed wedge 11 for holding the stator coils 7 down is inserted in the axial direction. The formed wedge 11 is provided with the section 12 holding coils down for a mechanism for retaining the stator coils 7, and with a slot-closing section 13 which is smoothed to be a regular circle on the opening section 5 and on the inner periphery 10 of a core 2 and which comes in contact with the mouth section 6. In this manner, the fluid resistance of sealed liquid between the rotor and the stator, which is generated along with the rotation of the rotor is reduced.

    • PURPOSE:To reduce windage loss of a rotor by covering the outer peripheral surface of a rotor core or the end of a winding at the outer peripheral surface of the rotor core and the axial outside of the rotor core with an insulating cylindrical resin tube, thereby smoothening the outer peripheral surface in the circumferential direction. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of axial winding slots 12 are formed on the outer peripheral surface of a rotor core 10 which is secured to a rotational shaft 9. A rotor winding 16 is filled in the slot 12 through slot insulating paper 15 and a slot wedge 13. Then, varnish is insulated such as immersed and treated with a core 10, a winding end 11, an insulating slot wedge 14. Thereafter, a thin insulating cylindrical resin tube 17 is coated on the core 10 and the winding end 11. The tube 17 employs thermally shrinkable tube or the like. Thus, the resin tube is coated on the surface of the rotor to obtain the smoothness in the circumferential direction, thereby reducing the rotor windage loss under the motor rotating condition.

In this method, the stator with the closed slot can be manufactured without complicating the winding enclosing work and the efficiency of the motor can be enhanced.
