    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for hot-pressing a steel sheet by means of a servo press, and a servo press, in which a holding torque is not applied to a servo motor while the bottom dead center of a slide is being maintained.SOLUTION: A method for hot-pressing a steel sheet 18 by means of a servo press 100 in which first, second, third and fourth connecting rods 31a, 31b, 31c and 31d are contained respectively in first, second, third and fourth slide driving mechanisms 22a, 22b, 22c and 22d driven respectively by means of first, second, third and fourth servo motors 21a, 21b, 21c and 21d; and first, second, third and fourth slide adjusting devices 37a, 37b, 37c and 37d are disposed respectively on the bottom end sides of the leg sections 33a, 33b, 33c and 33d of the first, second, third and fourth connecting rods 31a, 31b, 31c and 31d. The method for hot-pressing the steel sheet 18 by means of the servo press 100 includes: maintaining the leg sections of the connecting rods in a vertical position at the bottom dead center of a slide 12 for a predetermined time t, and subjecting the steel sheet 18 to a forming process by means of an upper mold 13 and a bottom mold 15 and to carburization.
