    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate a phase shift between an electric servo motor side and a slide side when the electric servo motor is disconnected from a power transmission path by a clutch mechanism at immediate stop and the electric servo motor is reconnected to the power transmission path by the clutch mechanism.SOLUTION: An electric servo press machine includes the clutch mechanism 150 interposed between the electric servo motor 160 and the slide 110, and a brake mechanism 200 for applying the brake onto the slide 110 under a disconnected state in which the electric servo motor 160 and the power transmission path are decoupled from each other by the clutch mechanism 150. The machine brings the clutch mechanism 150 into a disconnected state and applies the brake by the brake mechanism 200 upon an immediate stop request, and recovers under a state in which a phase shift between the electric servo motor 160 and the power transmission path on the slide 110 side is eliminated under a connected state of the clutch mechanism 150.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a forging press device that can inhibit the capacity of a power source to drive a servomotor and a method for controlling the same.SOLUTION: The forging press device includes: a drive shaft ES which moves up and down a slide S; a flywheel 30 connecting to the drive shaft ES; a servomotor 40 connecting to the drive shaft ES; and a capacitor 54 which stores electricity generated by the servomotor 40 to supply the electric power to the servomotor 40.
