    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To converge a desired thickness profile to a stable steady state (target value) effectively in a short period of time even if a rising or size condition is altered in the thickness control of an extrusion molded film at the time of production of the film. SOLUTION: A film thickness control device equipped with a comparing part 8, a first control operation quantity arithmetic part 2, a second control operation quantity arithmetic part 3, and a control changeover 4 is used. The comparing part 8 calculates the difference quantity Δy i between the thickness set value y oi and the thickness measured value y i on the basis of these values y oi and y i at the predetermined position in the lateral direction of a film. The first control quantity operation arithmetic part 2 outputs the first operation quantity u ia used in the control of the operation end arranged in a die corresponding to a predetermined position on the basis of the difference quantity Δy i . The second control operation quantity arithmetic part 3 outputs the second operation quantity u ib used in the control of the operation end at the time of start of production on the basis of predetermined input.
