    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control method for deceleration of a hybrid vehicle which can suppress a sudden change in the engine brake amount during deceleration of a vehicle to reduce a torque shock.
      SOLUTION: The control method for deceleration of a hybrid vehicle is switchably constituted between an E mode (first mode) for decelerating by increasing the regeneration amount of a motor generator by automatically cutting off a clutch during deceleration without applying an engine brake, and an M mode (second mode) for decelerating by applying an engine brake while the clutch is engaged, and for regenerating with the motor generator. Travelling information is read (S10) and, when a mode is switched from one mode to another (S12 affirmation) at the time of deceleration of a vehicle (S11 affirmation), an actual engine brake torque Tenga is calculated (S13 to S15) from a clutch stroke Cst, an actual engine torque Teng and a given map, to gradually change the regeneration torque Tmg in view of the magnitude thus calculated.
