    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the wear and seizure in a bearing device hard to occur by controlling the average grain diameter of Is grains in the contact and sliding face between a cast iron shaft and a bearing to the one higher than the specified magnification of the average thickness of a ferritic phase surrounding the spheroidal graphite grains of spheroidal graphite cast iron. SOLUTION: In the bearing device composed of a spheroidal graphite cast iron shaft having a bull's eye structure and an Al-Sn-Si aluminum alloy sliding bearing, in which Si grains of 5 to 40 μm grain diameter are present by >= 5 pieces per 3.56×10-2 mm2 in the aluminum alloy, the average grain size of the Si grains is made higher than the average thickness of the ferritic phase by >0.5 times. The structure of the aluminum alloy is controlled in such a manner that a ferritic phase 7 is formed around the spheroidal graphite 6, and the average grain diameter D of the Si grains 5 is made higher than the average thickness of the ferritic phase 7 by > 0.5 times. In the case of D=0.5, there is a boundary between the occurance of an attack on a mating bearing alloy by burrs 10 and the separation of the burrs 10 from the cast iron. A lapping action occurs in the initial stage of the using of the bearing, and, after that, lubricating oil sufficiently forms an oil film.

    • PURPOSE:To improve an antiseizing property by forming a large number of rough faces on a lining material surface, covering them with an intermediate layer and an overlay layer, filling the insides of the recessed parts with the overlay layer and specifying thickness of the intermediate layer and roughness of the surface of the lining material. CONSTITUTION:A lining material 3 of an Al alloy is provided on the surface of a back plate 2, a large number of rough faces 3a are formed on the surface, and roughness t1 of the surface is set as 2-8mumRz. Thereafter, an intermediate layer 4 of Ni is formed on the whole area of the surface of the lining material 3 including the surfaces of the rough faces 3a, and its thickness t2 is set as 0.01-0.6mum. Consequently, the surface of the intermediate layer 4 becomes a rough surface. Furthermore the whole area of the surface of the intermediate layer 4 is covered with an overlay layer 5 of a Pb alloy containing Sn, and the recessed parts of the intermediate layer 4 are filled with the overlay layer 5. When a bearing 1 is heated, a Sn-Ni compound 6 is formed, the overlay layer 5 is abrased down until the compound 6 is exposed, and the overlay layer 5 is dispersed and resides in the rough faces 3a at neighbouring positions of the compound 6. Consequently, it is possible to improve an antiseizing property.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain the sliding bearing capable of further enhancing seizing resistance when a lining material is worn by successively forming an adhesive layer and an overlay in the recesses of irregular shapes having a different aspect ratio on the surface of the lining material. CONSTITUTION:The recess of the fine ruggedness to be formed on the surface of the lining material for a sliding bearing is formed into an irregular flat shape (elliptical) having a different aspect ratio. The length almost orthogonal to the sliding direction is preferably made larger than that in the sliding direction. An adhesive layer and an overlay are successively formed in the recess. Accordingly, when the recess begins to wear, a mixed layer of the lining material, adhesive layer and overlay is exposed. Consequently, if the thickness of the adhesive layer plus overlay is supposed to be equal to the thickness of the conventional recess, the area of the overlay of this invention is larger than that in the conventional recess when the overlay begins to wear, and the seizing resistance is further improved.
