摘要： PURPOSE:To obtain the titled powder eliminated its surface activity and having improved surface characteristics such as hydrophobic nature, etc., while keeping the original properties of the powder, by coating a powder with a silicone polymer coating film having a pendant group by a specific method. CONSTITUTION:Powder such as inorganic pigment is coated with a coating film of a silicone polymer containing Si-H group. A compound reactive with the Si-H group (preferably 1-tetradecene, etc.) is added to the Si-H group of the silicone polymer coating the powder to effect the bonding of the silicone polymer with a pendant group derived from said compound and obtain the objective powder having a pendant group-containing silicone polymer film on the whole surface. The coating of the powder is preferably carried out in vapor phase by putting the silicone compound and the powder into separate open vessels and leaving the vessels in a common closed system.

This column is connected to a high-performance chromatograph and 30% methanol is passed as a moving phase therein. A standard mixture is injected therein and the chromatogram is obtd. by using a UV detector.

摘要： PURPOSE:To make it possible to obtain a white semiconductor safely usable for living goods, etc., by supporting a silica based film on the surface of a titanium oxide substrate. CONSTITUTION:The surface of titanium oxide is coated with a silicon compound and fired to form a silica based film thereon and give the aimed optical semiconductor without problems in safety for the skin. Since the color of the semiconductor is white, a large amount thereof can be blended in face powder and the activity is hardly deteriorated with time. The above-mentioned optical semiconductor is produced by putting, e.g. given amounts of fine titanium oxide particles and tetrahydrotetramethylcyclotetrasiloxane into separate small containers and allowing the small containers to stand in a hermetically sealed container at room temperature. The resultant fine titanium oxide particles treated with the silicone are then fired in an electric furnace in the absence of air under given condition.

Methylhydropolysiloxane oil of SiH equivalent less than 550 is then added to the powder in a rate of 3-7mg/m , uniformly mixed by a ball mill or the like without heating, and milled to form a silicone resin film on the surface of the powder by cross-linking polymn. Thus, hydrophobic granular powder with no discoloration is obtd. contg. no silicone resin particles, that is, having a particle size almost equal to that of the raw material powder.
