The resistance value R1 produced between the electrode D1 and the point P pointed by the device 8 is uniquely obtained from the difference VS. On the other hand, the coordinates of the point P are uniquely decided on the sheet 1 as an intersecting point between two circles drawn around the dots D1 and D2. Thus the distances between the point and both dot electrodes D1 and D2 are obtained. Then the accurate position of the point P pointed by the device 8 can be detected.

摘要： PURPOSE:To eliminate the shadow of an exposing section caused by a grip claw of an original grip section by constituting one of two exposure sources with an exposure lamp and the other with a reflection mirror. CONSTITUTION:The output light from a light source 7 is divided into a direct light 7a irradiating directly a sheet original 1 at the peripheral of an original drum 2 and a light 7b irradiating a reflecting mirror 42 provided at a position symmetrical to the light source 7 with respect to a read line L. The light 7b is reflected in the reflecting mirror 42 and becomes a reflected light 7c irradiating the sheet original 1. The shape and arrangement of the reflecting mirror 42 are formed so as to allow the reflected light 7c to be irradiated correctly to the exposure section as if the reflected light 7c were an irradiated light from a weak light source placed at a position of the reflection mirror 42. The shadow of the tip of a claw 5 caused in the exposure section is eliminated by combining the direct light 7a being the strong irradiated light and the reflected light 7c being a weaker light than the direct light.
