    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a repairing liquid having such a result that the cut end face of not only a precoated metal sheet treated with chromate but also a precoated metal sheet untreated with chromate is satisfactorily rustproofed and to provide a repairing method using the repairing liquid. SOLUTION: The repairing liquid for the cut end face of the precoated metal sheet consists of a mixture containing a binder component and a rust inhibitor component simultaneously as an nonvolatile component in an aqueous solution. The repairing liquid contains a silica fine particle as the binder component and one chemical of (A) a mixture obtained by adding 0-200 parts mass ammonium vanadate (V) to 100 parts mass magnesium dihydrogen phosphate (other names: primary magnesium phosphate and magnesium biphosphate), (B) magnesium hydrogen phosphate (another name: secondary magnesium phosphate), and (C) L-ascorbic acid as the rust inhibitor component.
