摘要： PURPOSE:To prevent sticking from occurring at the time of high-speed recording, by providing a thermally transferrable ink layer on a base film comprising a crosslinked polyester having a specified composition to produce a thermal transfer recording medium. CONSTITUTION:A crosslinked polyester is obtained by bringing (1) a polyester polyol synthesized from a polybasic carboxylic acid or an ester-forming derivative thereof and a polyhydric alcohol and having a hydroxyl number of 20-200 KOHmg/g and a softening point of 70-180 deg.C into reaction with (2) an aliphatic polybasic carboxylic acid comprising at least 30 equiv. % of an aliphatic tetracarboxylic acid or derivative thereof, in such a reactant ratio that 0.5-1.3 acid group equivalents of the component (2) is present per hydroxyl equivalent of the component (1). A thermally transferrable ink layer is provided on a base film comprising the crosslinked polyester, thereby producing a thermal transfer recording medium.

摘要： PURPOSE:To prevent blocking by a method wherein a layer of a material prepared by crosslinking and setting specific polydimethyl siloxane by means of active radiations is formed on the side whereon a quantity of heat is impressed. CONSTITUTION:Polydimethyl siloxane expressed by a general formula and an optical reaction initiator as they are, or the ones diluted with an appropriate inactive solvent, are formed on a prescribed place of an ink sheet by a coating means or the like, and are crosslinked and set by applying active radiations thereto. The thickness of the layer thus formed, as that of the set material, is 0.02-1mum, or preferably 0.05-0.5mum. No uniform effect can be expected when the thickness is smaller than 0.02mum, while the sensitivity of the ink sheet lowers undesirably when it is larger than 1mum. As for the ink sheet whereon the aforesaid layer is formed, the one prepared by a method wherein an ink layer prepared from paraffin wax or ester wax having a melting point of about 60-100 deg.C and a coloring material and also from a softening agent and a filler as a thermal conductivity improving agent as occasion calls is provided about 2-20mum thick on a polyester film substrate of a melt transfer type of about 2-12mum thick, is used.

摘要： PURPOSE:To prevent blocking by forming a layer of specific hydrogen modified polysiloxane on the side whereon a quantity of heat is impressed. CONSTITUTION:A layer of hydrogen modified polysiloxane expressed by general formulas (I-III) is formed on the side of an ink sheet whereon a quantity of heat is impressed. The thickness of the layer is 0.02-1mum, or preferably 0.05-0.5mum. A uniform effect can not be expected when said thickness is smaller than 0.02mum, and the sensitivity of the ink sheet lowers undesirably when it is larger than 1mum. Although the ink sheet whereon the layer is formed is not limited particularly, the one prepared by a method wherein an ink layer prepared from paraffin wax or ester wax having a melting point of about 60-100 deg.C and a coloring material and also from a softening agent and a filler as a thermal conductivity improving agent as occasion calls is provided about 2-20mum thick on a polyester film substrate of a melt transfer type being about 2-12mum thick, is used.

In the formula, (n) is 0-6,000. The peroxide to be used is preferably diacyl-peroxide such as benzoyl peroxide. When the layer of the set material of polydimethyl siloxane expressed by the general formula (I) is formed on the side of the ink sheet whereon a quantity of heat is impressed, the compound and the peroxide as they are, or those diluted with an appropriate inactive solvent, are formed on the ink sheet and crosslinked and set. The inactive solvent to be used on the occasion is preferably of a boiling point 50-150 deg.C in terms of workability.
