    • PURPOSE:To save trouble of finding a character inputted in the past and also to shorten the input time by providing a memory part stored with the character inputted in the past a method of lighting the character. CONSTITUTION:To the reverse surfaces of characters on board 10, light emitting elements 20 are provided. Further, this device is equipped with Chinese-character code memory circuit 14 where a code equivalent to a Chinese character assigned in the past is stored and display control circuit 15 which lights light emitting element 20 at a character position corresponding to the Chinese-character stored in mermoy circuit 14. Now, when position 21 of a desired input character is indicated by input pen 18, detection control circuit 13 generates the code of the assigned character and a strobe signal to a computer. Only Chinese-character codes among character codes are srored in memory circuit 14. In a read state, light emitting element 20 at a position equivalent to the read Chinese character code is lighted by display control circuit 15.

    • PURPOSE:To make it possible to input Chinese characters easily by providing a group of keys expressing the left-hand radicals and right-hand radicals of Chinese character and a group of keys expressing ''kana'' characters and alphanumeric characters on a character input board and by inputting Chinese characters by information on right-hand and left-hand radicals and information on rendering. CONSTITUTION:The character input board is equipped with a group of keys expressing kana (Japanese syllabary) and alphanumeric characters and another group of keys expressing the right-hand and left-hand radicals of Chinese characters and, for example, when the key ''k1'' for '' kizu'' is depressed, it is detected by input detection part 11 inside of input control 1, position information generating part 12 is instructed to detect the key position, and code information generating part 13 outputs code information on ''k1'' by the coordinate value generated by generating part 12. Then, ''Zu'' is sent to unit 2 in the same way and ''NIN-BEN'' is further sent as left-hand radical information, so that unit 2 will display 4 the character pattern of ''KIZU'' via the Chinese-character pattern generating part. Consequently, a Chinese character is inputted by the information on left-hand and right-hand radicals and kana information of rendering, so that the Chinese character can easily be inputted.
