    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a carburetor efficiently absorb the heat of reaction at a catalyst during stationary combustion so as to make possible vaporization of fuel in a favorable state and furthermore prevent an abnormal elevation of temperature of combustible gas upstream by using as a carburetor part of a heat exchanger with a catalyst in a state of carrying an acidic catalyst. SOLUTION: By supplying combustion air fed from a combustion air-feeding means 500 to a fuel gas-feeding part 100 through a combustion air-leading in pipe 306 and past a cover covering the periphery of a heat exchanger with catalyst 200 the waste heat contained in the exhaust gas and the radiant heat released from the heat exchanger with catalyst 200 are collected and the combustion air is preheated. The fuel during stationary operation undergoes vaporization with part of the heat therefor from catalytic combustion, mixed with preheated combustion air in the fuel gas-feeding part 100, passed through a flow-straightening mesh plate 150 and turned virtually into an even flow and supplied to the heat exchanger with catalyst 200, oxidized with the catalyst on fins with catalyst 201, and discharged from an exhaust gas pipe 300. This method improves the heat exchange efficiency.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate noise in a wide frequency zone by providing a resonator having a circular extension chamber on a coaxial outer circumference of an intake port between the intake port and an air pump cover. SOLUTION: A silencer is composed of an intake port 1 to introduce air to a motor-driven air pump, and an extension chamber 3 disposed circularly on an outer circumference of the intake port between the suction port and a pump cover 2. The extension chamber 3 is formed in such a form that it can be decomposed at a cutting line D-D, and it is connected to a side surface of the pump cover 2 by binding or the like. Air taken from the intake port 1 passes the extension chamber 3, and pressurized by fins 4 in an impeller 6 to be discharged from a discharge port 7. A height H of the expansion chamber 3 is set in such a value that a noise frequency fh to which reduction is the most necessary is sound speed/4H. A length L of the extension chamber 3 is set at L=1.2H, so columnar resonance is easy to be generated in the direction of the height H. Sound impedence in the extension chamber 3 is thus dispersed, thereby noise in a wide frequency zone can be eliminated.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain a velocity measuring apparatus which includes phase data in an output signal when the sensor output is a sine wave, thereby to improve the resolving power for the measurement of the velocity. CONSTITUTION:The angular velocity measuring apparatus is comprised of contactless velocity sensors 211, 212 which output sine waves of the frequency proportional to the rotational speed of gears 201, 202 to be measured, preamplifiers 213, 214 for amplifying the outputs of the sensors, and a signal processor 22. In a first embodiment, after the spectrum on one side of the sensor output which is Fourier-transformed is operated by the signal processor 22, the spectrum is subjected to the inverse Fourier-transform to operate a real part analyzing signal and an imaginary part analyzing signal which constitute a pair of Hilbert's transformation. When the angle defined by the real part analyzing signal and the imaginery part analyzing signal is differentiated in time, the angular velocity of the gear is calculated. According to a second embodiment, the operation in the domain of time is used in place of the Fourier- transform, one-side spectrum and inverse Fourier-transform.
