CONSTITUTION:An armature shaft 1 protruding from an armature 15, a D.C. motor, is provided with a shaft side taper part 1a, and a taper bush 2 is fittingly secured thereto. An armature gear 3 is rotatably fitted at the armature shaft 1, and a gear side taper part 3a provided at one end of the armature gear 3 is brought into contact with the shaft side taper part 1a. The armature gear 3 is meshed with a clutch gear formed at the outer cylinder part of a clutch 10 through an idle gear 7. A magnet switch 13 is disposed coaxially with the clutch 10, and at the closed time of this magnet switch 10, the shaft of a plunger 21 is sucked to move a pinion 11 to the left through the shaft of the clutch 10 so as to mesh the pinion 11 with a ring gear 12.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent the damage of a starter by a method wherein a starting motor is driven through a magnet switch operating by the throw-in of a starting switch and the conduction of the switch is intercepted when the temperature of exciting coil of the magnet switch has arrived at a predetermined value. CONSTITUTION:When the starting switch 200 is switched ON, a transistor 2 in a relay 300 is put ON, thereafter, the transistor 3 is put ON after a predetermined time delay and a movable contact 1b is closed by the exciting of a coil 1a. Then, the attracting coil 10 and the holding coil 11 of a magnet switch 400 are conducted to close the movable contact 9a and the starter motor 500 is started. In this case, a normally closed bimetal 15 is opened to stop the motor 500 if the starter is driven for a long period of time without obtaining the perfect ignition of an engine and the temperature of the motor 500 is risen abnormally. In case the motor 500 is driven in no-load condition and the holding coil 11 is overheated, the normally closing bimetal 14 is opened and the motor 500 is stopped in the same manner.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent the nonuniform wear and eizure of the rollers of a one- way clutch, by inserting a retainer for holding a rotary bearing, in between the inside circumferential surface of the outer member of the clutch and the outside circumferential surface of its inner member, and using a clutch over to secure the retainer. CONSTITUTION:The inner member 3 of a one-way clutch functions as a spline tube and is placed on a helical spline member 4. Rollers 2 and springs for pushing the rollers are provided between the outside circumferential surface of the inner member 3 of the clutch and wedge chambers 1a defined on the inside circumferential surface of the outer member 1 of the clutch. The rollers 2 are held through the action of a retainer 7 by lock-seaming the inner circumferential edge of a clutch cover 9. After an engine is started, the rollers 2 are pushed into the spacious wedge rooms 1a so that the inner member 3 of the clutch races. The outer member 1 of the clutch is then centered by needle rollers 6 held by the retainer 7. As a result, rollers 2 are protected from nonuniform wear and seizure.

CONSTITUTION:A clutch outer 1 is formed by inserting a punch, shaped like a clutch outer cam chamber, inside a plate material and pressing a member of definite thickness such as a plate material or pipe material and the like. Then, after assembling a clutch roller 2, clutch spring 5, pinion 4 and a half washer 3 into the clutch outer 1, a part 1d of an opening end part to be fixed by winding clamp is lastly subjected to winding clamp to complete the clutch.
