The method for producing the composite black oxide particles comprises mixing an aqueous mixed solution prepared by using water-soluble metal salts of cobalt, nickel and manganese, and an alkali hydroxide so as to neutralize, then oxidizing the obtained slurry of the metal hydroxides at a temperature of >40°C to ≤60°C while keeping its pH at a value of 10-13, aging the obtained precursor at 80-150°C, subjecting the aged precursor to solid-liquid separation, and heat-treating the obtained solid at 400-700°C for >1 to ≤3 h.
