CONSTITUTION:A pressure-tight cylinder 1 having openings at both upper and lower ends thereof is disposed in such a manner as to carry in and out a substance 12 to be processed from the lower end opening portion, and an upper cover 2 and a lower cover 3 are respectively mounted on the upper opening portion and the lower opening portion to form a pressure-tight chamber 13. A pressure support frame 30 is formed by coupling upper support members 6 elevated by elevating cylinders 8 to lower support members 7 by two tension bars 4 extended upward and downward and disposed at the outer periphery of the pressure-tight cylinder 1. Thus, even if the pressure support frame 30 receives force along the axis of the cylinder 1, there is no bending moment in the tension bars 4.

    • PURPOSE:To make the sectional shape of the rolled product controllable to the optimum condition easily and economically, by making adjustable within the horizontal plane the crossing angle of the axes of the upper roll group and the axes of the lower roll group, both possessing their axes within the same vertical plane different from each other group. CONSTITUTION:When the rolling work for the rolling material 11 is started, the axes 16, 17, of the upper roll groups 12, 13, being located within the same vertical plane, and the axes 16', 17', of the lower roll groups 12', 13', being located within the same vertical plane different from the vertical plane of the upper roll group axes, cross each other by the crossing angle theta, which is adjustable to any arbitrary desired value. Besides, since both ends of upper and lower work rolls 12, 12', are constituted so as to be impressible with the bending force, the optimum sectional shape of the rolled material 11 can be very easily formed. Moreover, according to this constitution, the wear of the rolls is diminished, and the number of rolls is smaller as compared with the six-stage rolling mill so that the rearrangement work for rolls is easy.

    • PURPOSE:To flatly roll the rolling materials of various kinds of sizes and materials without requiring roll spares of multiple kinds of crown amounts by loosely fitting offcentered sleeves to both side parts and central parts of the backup rolls of the 4-stage rolling mill and providing rotating devices for controlling of the rates of offcenter to the roll bodies. CONSTITUTION:At the time of rolling a plate-form rolling material 1 by a work roll 2, sleeves 7, 8 are rotatably loosely fitted to the outside circumferences of both side parts and central part of upper and lower backup rolls 5. The central sleeves 8 are mounted with offcentering by e with respect to the revolving center of the backup rolls 5. When the rolls 5 are revolved by driving fine adjustment devices 16, the roll bodies 5 revolve about the center A of the roll bearings 12 and the center B of the central sleeves 8 deviate by e1. When rolling is done in this state and if the maximum deflection of the rolls 5 is equal to e1, the outside surfaces of the contact of the sleeves 7, 8 with the work rolls 2 become linerar irrespective of the deflections of the rolls 5 and the rolling material 1 is flatly rolled.

    • PURPOSE:To improve the yield of raw material, by installing the forming locator dies providing for the next forming pass, on the side of the cutter dies nearby the rear end of the forming dies, in the thread rolling dies. CONSTITUTION:By gradually proceeding the bite-in and formation for the raw material through the wedge type forming dies 10, the formation is carried out completely similarly to the conventional method. At the final forming pass, the cutting formation is carried out by the cutter dies 10b, 10c, for the raw material P1, the formed product P1a, and the excess metal P1b. Hereupon, when the expansion formation by the cutter dies 10b, 10c, is almost finished, the forming locator dies 11 bites the raw material P1, and forms the locating groove P1c. At the next forming work, the center line T2 of the locating groove P1c is exactly guided by the stopper 40a to the specified position of the bite-in portion A1 of the forming dies 10, so that the identical product is always produced, and the yield of the raw material is improved.
