    • PURPOSE:To increase jet generation efficiency by passing a plasma forming gas through a gap formed between discharge surfaces of a pair of electrodes so as to generate a curtain-like plasma jet, and uniformly generating an arc between the discharge surfaces along the longitudinal direction of the electrodes, after generating an alternating magnetic field in the jet propulsion direction. CONSTITUTION:Plasma forming gas 25 is introduced from a supplying opening 9 to a passage 10 in the main device, and then plasma is generated by an arc 27 uniformly generating along the longitudinal direction in between an electrode 1 and 2. Consequently, the plasma forming gas 25 jets in a curtain-like manner, as a plasma jet 26, from the opening between a slit-like electrode 1 and 2. Here, when the gap between the electrodes is excessively wide, the operation is impossible; and when the gap being excessively narrow, enough output can not obtained; therefore adjusting the electrode spacing is necessary, and it can be performed by an adjusting bolt 21. Furthermore, a coil 17, which puts the electrodes inside, for generating an alternating magnetic field is provided on the back side of the electrodes 1 and 2, so that the alternating magnetic field is applied in the jet propulsion direction so as to stabilize the arc.

    • PURPOSE:To make the driving force exerted on a steel sheet nonuniform and to prevent the generation of a stripe-pattern by bending a lead wire on one surface of a plated steel sheet, coupling a coil bent on the other surface with the symmetric coil, and alternately arranging the coils. CONSTITUTION:A plated steel sheet 1 is induction-heated by passing a high-frequency current through coils 2 and 3 to alloy the plating metal. In the induction heater for alloying, the lead wire of the coil 2 is successively bent on one surface of the plated steel sheet 1 in the cross direction, in the longitudinal direction, and then in the cross direction. The lead wire is then bent toward the other surface, and successively bent in the same way as before. The wire is then bent toward the one surface, and the same bending is repeated. As a result, the coil 2 covering a part of the plated steel sheet 1 in the longitudinal direction is formed. In addition, the coil 3 formed symmetrical to the coil 2 is coupled to the coil 2, and arranged in the longitudinal direction. The couples are alternately arranged. By this method, the plated steel sheet 1 is uniformly heated in the cross direction, a driving force of nonuniform distribution is exerted, and uniform alloying is carried out without generating a stripe-pattern.
