摘要： PURPOSE:To easily and accurately monitor the stress corrosion crack and environmental crack of a structure made of a metallic material exposed to corrosive environment by comparing the potential difference between the spacing part of the metallic structure and other part with a preset reference value. CONSTITUTION:The structure 1 of a potential measuring cell has a cylindrical external cell 3 and a cylindrical internal cell 7 disposed apart a prescribed annular spacing part 5 in the external cell 3 and is constituted of the same material as the material of the structure in a light water reactor. Respective electrodes 27, 29 for potential measurement are provided in and out of the spacing part 5 in the corrosive environment. A detector 35 measures the difference in the potential in the two electrodes 27, 29. A comparing means 37 makes comparison between the potential difference and the preset reference value (critical potential difference) concerning the generation and progression of the crack in the corrosive environment. A warning command signal to a warning device 39 is outputted when the potential difference is larger than the reference value. The stress corrosion crack and environmental crack of the structure made of the metallic material exposed to the corrosive environment are easily and accurately monitored in this way.

摘要： PURPOSE:To establish the system which detects exoelectrons of an actual machine and predicts the degree of fatigue damage of an actual machine structure without destruction by gathering emitted exoelectrons by a current collecting plate and detecting a magnetic field which is produced with a fine flowing current. CONSTITUTION:A light source 10 is fixed to a container 9 which is installed at a part to be measured and its light passes through a lens 11 to irradiate a specific range to be measured. Consequently, the emitted exoelectrons are gathered to a current collecting electrode 4 to generate the fine current. A magnetic shield 3 produces the magnetic field by a coil 5 which is shielded from an external magnetic field with the fine current. This magnetic field is gathered by a superconductor-made pickup coil 12 which is cooled by a low- temperature container 14 and sent to a superconducting quantum interference device (SQUID) 7 and quantified by a magnetic measuring instrument 8 and then a microcomputer 15 takes an analysis and compares the result with the master curve between the amount of emitted electrons and the degree of damage which is given in advance to detect the degree of damage of the measured part without destruction.

摘要： PURPOSE:To manufacture a channel box in which corrosion resistance and creep deformation characteristics are optimized by using a Zr alloy containing specific amounts of Nb, Sn, and Mo and also specifying hot rolling temp., temp. of annealing between cold working stages, hardening temp., and heat-treatment conditions after assembly by welding. CONSTITUTION:A refined ingot of an alloy having a composition consisting of, by weight, 0.5-2.5% Nb, 0.5-2.0% Sn, 0.1-1.0% Mo, and the balance Zn is forged at a temp. in a beta-phase temp. region. The resulting forged stock is heated up to a temp. in the beta-phase temp. region again and cooled rapidly to undergo solution heat treatment. Subsequently, the above stock is hot-rolled at about 650-750 deg.C and subjected to alternate repetition of cold rolling and annealing at about 550-650 deg.C, which is then heated up to about 790-870

It is preferable that, besides the Sn-Ni intermetallic compound, an intermetallic compound of Fe, Ni, and Zr is also precipitated in the zirconium grains in the alpha-phase.

More specifically, the various parts mentioned above are produceable from this Zr alloy member and therefore, a fuel assembly having high economy is manufactured and the improvement of the reliability is expected.
