    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lock a lid of a reagent box, such that the lid does not open during a measurement operation, and to enable the lid to open, only when exchanging reagent vessels without suspending the measurement.
SOLUTION: The lid 110 is arranged on the upper surface of the reagent box 100, such that the lid 110 can open and close, and a lock mechanism is disposed to keep the lid 110 in its closed state during the measurement operation by using an active section 120 and a receiving section 130; and while continuing the measurement operation, an operation of a dispensing mechanism is stopped by an analyzer control section 150 which controls operations of respective pieces of constituent equipment, whereby the locked state of the lid operated by the lock mechanism can be temporarily released. Hence, since the exchange of the reagent vessels can be carried out in the suspension of the dispensing mechanism, while continuing the measurement operation, a related automatic analyzer can be managed efficiently.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a deletion method requiring operations as few as possible in receiving unnecessary mail.
SOLUTION: Upon receiving mail by a communication section 6, the mail is saved on a mail DB 3a to suspend an initiating program. Now, pop-up processing is initiated to display characters, 'Read immediately', 'Read later', 'Delete immediately', and a sender address (a sender name) against the received mail on a display section 4. Selection is entrusted to a user. When the user selects the 'Delete immediately', a control section 2 instructs the deletion of the received mail saved on the mail DB 3a to delete the received mail saved on the mail DB 3a.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a local broadcast service whereby a reception terminal can selectively acquire information with respect to a moving destination depending on its moving direction.
SOLUTION: A broadcast center 13 multiplexes contents, to which information denoting providing conditions including a 'position', a 'driving direction', and a 'data validity' is added, with stream data and allows one or more transmission stations 12 to distribute the resulting data to a whole information providing area by means of a broadcast wave. The reception terminal 14 mounted on a vehicle receives the broadcast wave distributed from the transmission station 12 while passing through the information providing area, demultiplexes the contents multiplexed on the data from the received signal, stores them, acquires status information of the position of its own vehicle, the current time, and the driving direction of its own vehicle on the basis of information from an own position measurement apparatus 15, sequentially compares the providing condition information attached to the stored contents with the status information and decodes and reproduces the coincident contents.
