    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting device for an elevator cage capable of reducing a dark region occurring along a joint member which supports a translucent plate due to irradiation of light from an LED lamp, and also, capable of replacing the LED lamp easily from inside the elevator cage.SOLUTION: A light-shielding body, which shields light forming a projection image of a joint member in an irradiation direction of light of an LED lamp, is provided at a top plate positioned above the joint member along the joint member, and a gap is provided between the light-shielding body and the joint member for the translucent plate to pass through. As the light of the LED lamp forming a projection image of the joint member in the irradiation direction toward the joint member is shielded by the light-shielding body, the projection image of the joint member hardly occurs in the irradiation direction of the LED lamp, and a dark region along the joint member does not occur on the translucent plate, the design of the translucent plate can be improved. Also, as the translucent plate can be passed through by the gap between the joint member and the light-shielding body, replacement of the LED lamp can be performed from inside the elevator cage.
