    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To estimate the phase and rotational speed of a slipping permanent magnet synchronous motor by using a simple device at low cost, and to restart and operate the slipping permanent magnet synchronous motor.SOLUTION: When the permanent magnet synchronous motor 1 is slipped, the output-terminal voltage of an inverter IC2 is changed in response to the phase of the permanent magnet synchronous motor. When the magnitudes of the output-terminal voltage using a DC negative electrode for the inverter as a reference and a threshold voltage at a fixed value are compared, the polarity of the permanent magnet synchronous motor is changed at a fixed phase. This magnitude relationship can be detected at low cost by simple devices such as a level shift circuit and a NOT circuit. The phase of the permanent magnet synchronous motor is estimated on the basis of the change of the magnitude relationship, and the rotational speed is estimated by differentiating the phase of the permanent magnet synchronous motor. When the estimates of the phase and the rotational speed are fed back for synchronous operation or vector control, the slipping permanent magnet synchronous motor can be restarted.

An incoming direction estimating part detects phase difference between first radio waves received by the respective antennas. The incoming direction of the first radio signal is calculated based on the detected phase difference.
