摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To delete and correct recorded character graphic information by multiplexing an input video code and an input character graphic code, so as to produce an input multiplex signal and to record it. SOLUTION: A received video signal 2 is compressed with a video coding circuit 31 into a video code 32. A character image selected by a character coding circuit 33 is coded with received character selection information 3, and a character code 34 is outputted. A multiplexer circuit 35 multiplexes the video code 32 and the character code 34 into one multiplex code 36, which is recorded in a recorder 8. At reproducing, a multiplex code 37 is read from the recorder 8 and given to a multiplexer circuit 38, where the code 37 is demultiplexed into a reproduced video code 39 and a reproduced character code 42. The reproduced video code 39 is given to a video reproduction (decoding) circuit 40, corresponding to the video coding circuit 31, and the reproduced character signal is given to a character reproduction (decoding) circuit 43 corresponding to the character coding circuit 33 and a reproduced video signal 41, and a reproduced character signal 44 are respectively obtained. Then the reproduced video signal 41 and the reproduced character signal 44 are given to a display compositing circuit 45, where they are composited, and the composited signal is displayed.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate a virtual image at an arbitrary visual point and to generate an image full of presence in real time by allowing a system to have a means that compares a camera image with a background image photographed in advance for extracting an object, magnifying and modifying an image of the object, and compositing the image on a still background. SOLUTION: An image of a camera 1 through a zoom lens 2 is written in a frame memory 8. An image only of a background photographed at the position of the camera is read from a storage device, in which an image database 5, is constructed and written in a frame memory 6. The contents of the two frame memories are compared by a compactor circuit 9, matching consents are discriminated as a background and other parts are discriminated as an object, and only the object contents are transferee to a frame memory 10. An image signal in the frame memory is given to an image conversion circuit 11, where processing such as modification or magnification is conducted, based on the position and angle of a virtual camera and the result is written in a frame memory 7 in which only the background is overwritten.

In this case, the power of '2' is preferable for the value of (d) when easiness to execute multiplication/division is considered. The more the value of this (d) is increased, the more predictive error is reduced but the synthesizing processing of predictive images is complicated. Therefore, when predictive characteristics are considered, any numeral larger than '2' is desirable for the value of (d). Besides, when the balance between the predictive characteristics and the difficulty of processing is considered, '2', '4' or '8' is suitable as the concrete value of (d).

CONSTITUTION:A block position detection circuit 30 detects a block position at preceding coding, A block division circuit 52 divides blocks to be coincident with the detected block position, and coding circuits 10, 53 are used to execute coding to each of central and peripheral blocks. A code generating circuit 54 generates a code representing block position information and adds the code to a code generated by the coding circuits 10, 53 to provide an output to a multiplexer 55.
