    • PURPOSE: To suppress floor impact noise by light loads by increasing shearing deformation effects via prescribed-interval cutting of grooves in that side of upper constrained materials which faces vibration control layers formed between the constrained materials and backing materials and securement of a required thickness of the constrained materials above the grooves. CONSTITUTION: This vibration control flooring comprises a wooden facing board 1, a vibration control layer 6 and a backing board 7 provided with an unevenness absorbing material 8 on its undersurface. The facing board 1 has in its undersurface such grooves 2 at intervals of from 50 to 130 mm as ensure a constrained material thickness of from 3 to 5 mm above themselves. The layer 6 consists of closed cells 4, a resilient material 3 of vulcanized rubber, and a fibrous substance 5. The grooves 2 render the board 1 flexible to increase the shearing deformation effect that the board 1 shows together with the layer 6, and the material 8 avoids direct contact of the flooring with the floor slab. The flooring thus presents suppressed floor impact noise by light loads and improves in durability via enhanced permeability.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a ceiling structure which suppresses the propagation of sound between upper and lower stories, without the need for the repair of a floor structure on an upper story, by applying sound control to the ceiling structure in a building having a low degree of fixation between building members, such as a detached house and a low-rise apartment house, and which is suitable for the alteration of a lower-story room. SOLUTION: This ceiling structure constitutes a ceiling space from an undersurface of a floor slab 11 as a floor base slab on the upper story of the house to an undersurface of the ceiling on the lower story. The ceiling structure comprises a floor skeleton 14 as a building structure member, a plaster board 16 as a ceiling member, and a ceiling panel 5 as a ceiling holding member for fixing the ceiling member. A gap 18 is provided between the ceiling member (plaster board 16) and the building structure member (floor skeleton 14); the total surface density of the ceiling member (plaster board 16) is set to be in the range of 10-40 kg/m 2 ; and a gap filling material 19 as a gap interposition member is provided between the ceiling member (plaster board 16) and the building structure member (floor skeleton 14).
