摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that sufficient printing qualities and printing density are not necessarily assured depending on the kinds of recording media (for example, paper or the like) and that printed matter is poor in scratch resistance/line marker resistance when an aqueous ink comprising a self-dispersible carbon black as a coloring material is used for inkjet recording, and other problems.
SOLUTION: The aqueous ink comprises at least as a coloring material a self-dispersible carbon black having a carboxy group bonded to the surface thereof directly or via another atomic group, an acrylic polymer, a water-soluble organic solvent and water, where the aqueous ink has a critical salt-out concentration by sodium chloride of 0.04-0.4 mol/L.

The value obtained by multiplying the concentration of the anion of the salt by the valence of the anion, in the ink, is 0.01-0.04 mol/L. The water-soluble organic compound contains an ethylene urea, wherein the content of the ethylene urea is 22-50 mass% based on the total content of the water-soluble organic compound in the ink.
