CONSTITUTION:A reinforcing layer 13 is arranged on the anti-bead core 12 side in the proximity of the bead core 12 of a carcass 10. The outside end part 13A in the radial direction of a tire of the outside part 13B in the tire width direction of the reinforcing layer 13 is extendedly provided on the outside in the radial direction of the tire compared with the outside end 10C in the radial direction of the tire of the folding back part 10A of the carcass 10. In this case, a hard rubber sheet 29 as a rubber member having a higher modulus value at 20% extension compared with the coating rubber of the reinforcing layer 13 is arranged on the outside in the tire width direction compared with the outside part 13B in the tire width direction of the reinforcing layer 13. A surface layer rubber 34 is arranged on the outside in the tire width direction of the hard rubber sheet 29, for protecting its weatherproof.

    • PURPOSE:To realize sufficient reinforcement by availably avoiding the generation of trouble such as separation or cracking in a product composed of a polymeric composite material, in a reinforcing core composed of the polymeric composite material, by generating resistance almost uniform in a lateral direction against the forces in all of directions acting on the reinforced surface due to the embedding of said core and markedly reducing the difference in level of rigidity apt to generate in a reinforced side edge. CONSTITUTION:The phases, amplitudes and wavelengths of reinforcing elements between respective layers are different respectively and the reinforcing elements 1, 1' each composed of a plurality of cords or filaments becoming orientation arranging in alignment with a waveform within the same plane are respectively united in a laminar state by the coating with a polymer material having modulus elasticity lower than that of said elements 1, 1', most typically, rubber to form a plurality of strips. For example, layer of each of the strips has a knot region where the respective reinforcing elements 1 are overlapped in a crossing state between two reinforcing elements 1' occupying the other layer adjacent to said layer and forms a laminated structure wherein the orientation directions of the reinforcing elements 1, 1' of all of the strips are aligned in the same direction. Numerals 2, 2' show knot regions overlapped between the mutual reinforcing elements in a crossing state.

    • PURPOSE:To improve the durability of a belt by orienting at least one layer of reinforcing elements out of stripes forming the belt in a wave form, and specifying the ratios of an amplitude end of peripheral length of a tire to a pitch of a wave form respectively. CONSTITUTION:A pneumatic tire is provided with a toroid-shaped carcass as a body reinforcement. The periphery of the carcass is provided with a belt formed of strips which use many cords or filaments as a reinforcing element and are coated with high polymer materials having low elastic modulus to reinforce a tread. In this case, at least one layer of the reinforcing element is oriented in a wavelike or a zigzag shape. The ratio of an amplitude (a) shown by distance from a peak to an adjacent peak to the pitch (l) of a wave form, namely a/l established within the range from 0.01 to 0.35. In addition to that, the ratio of the pitch length (l) to the longest peripheral length L of the tire having normal internal pressure, namely l/L is established less than 0.025.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of a filament having small tensile force at the time of bending reinforcing elements in a wave form, etc. in a plane and sufficiently reduce rolling resistance and heat generation by forming each reinforcing element embedded in a reinforcing layer with a single-line filament. CONSTITUTION:In a pneumatic tire 11, a number of reinforcing cords 15 are embedded in the carcass plies 13 of a carcass layer 14. A belt layer 17 in which two or more layers of belt plies 16 are superposed is provided on the outside in the radial direction of the carcass layer 14. Further, a reinforcing layer 26 is provided on the outside in the radial direction of the belt layer 17, and a plural number of reinforcing elements 29 made of steel which extend in the circumferential direction are provided in the reinforcing plies 28 thereof. In this case, each reinforcing element 29 is formed with a single-line filament while being bent in a wave form or in zigzag in a plane parallel to both sides of the reinforcing ply 28.
