    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a plural-video display device by which the resolution of a video is enhanced by devising an optical system and utilizing high speed display changeover by time division. SOLUTION: Both right and left light sources 20 and 30 are arranged on both sides of an aperture part 11a on the side of a front wall 11 at the inside of a casing 10. A reflector 40 is arranged along the rear wall 12 of the casing 10, so that surface-like light having a reverse phase from both light sources 20 and 30 is reflected to the aperture part 11a. A liquid crystal panel 10 is provided at the aperture part 11a at the inside of the casing 10 together with a condensing lens 50. Reflected light from the reflector 40 is condensed by the condensing lens 50 and is condensed at both eyes of either left or right observer by passing through the liquid crystal panel 60. Respective videos for the left and right observers are switched and displayed by high speed by the timed division with light from the condensing lens 50 at the liquid crystal panel 60.

SOLUTION: A light source 10 is placed behind an object point side focus of a linear Fresnel lens 30.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the stereoscopic video image display device that effectively utilizes a light diffusion plate so as to attain a bright stereoscopic display with a high utility rate of light regardless of a small number of light sources. SOLUTION: A mirror drive circuit drives a rotary mirror 20 to set a rotary angle of the rotary mirror 20 so that a image forming light from a convex lens 40 is in matching with positions of both eyes of a viewer in response to the positions of both the eyes of the viewer detected by a CCD camera 70. Then the rotary mirror 20 changes a traveling direction of the light from the convex lens 10c and emits the light to a Fresnel lens 31 as a converted light, which makes the converted light incident into a light diffusion plate 32 as a parallel light. Thus, the light diffusion plate 32 emits diffused lights. Moreover, a liquid crystal display panel drive circuit 130 drives in time division a liquid crystal display panel 50 based on a stereo video output from a video tape recorder 110. Then a convex lens 40 forms the diffused lights from the light diffusion plate 32 into an image and the liquid crystal display panel 50 receiving the image light from the convex lens 40 displays the image stereoscopically.
