    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an internally-illuminated pushbutton switch device that consumes little current by passing and projecting a part of a semitranslucent pushbutton through and from a translucent plate having an EL sheet wound on its outer peripheral end face, and forming a hole that provides edge-light action. SOLUTION: When this internally-illuminated pushbutton switch device is employed in a pushbutton type portable telephone, blue-green light is emitted from the emitting surface of an EL sheet 11 during a call, at the application of a voltage to the sheet 11 wound on the outer peripheral end face of a translucent plate 10, and a part of the light is allowed to pass through the plate 10 and reflected by an edge 10e so that a pushbutton 7 is brightly illuminated from inside by the mixture of the luminous color of the sheet 1 and the phosphor color of the plate 10. The remaining light propagates within the plate 10 while undergoing total reflection, has its brightness condensed by the addition of secondary emission of a dispersedly contained phosphor, and undergoes irregular reflection at an irregularly reflecting surface 10f to brightly illuminate a liquid-crystal display panel 21 from its back. No LEDs and lamps need to be provided on a circuit board 9, so the current consumed is decreased and costs reduced.

When the nozzle restoring switch 15 is operated in such a state that the unit lid is closed when slight printing inferiority is generated, a head operating circuit Ch injecting restoring ink from a nozzle is selected by the operation control circuit 29 of a printing head and, when heavy printing inferiority is generated, the unit lid is opened to operate the nozzle restoring switch 15 and a pump driving circuit Cp driving a nozzle restoring pump 24 to forcibly discharge the restoring ink from a nozzle is selected. A nozzle function restoring means can be selected according to the degree of printing inferiority and the wasteful consumption of ink can be suppressed.

SOLUTION: An ultraviolet ray absorbing layer 2, a light emitting layer 3 and an insulating layer 4 are laminated in order on a transparent electrode film 1, which is formed by laminating a transparent electrode layer made of ITO on a transparent film 1a. In the ultraviolet ray absorbing layer 2, a mixture of fluororesin, acetic acid - n butylcarbitol and Ce oxide is used as a binder. As the light emitting layer 3, ZnS phosphor, to which Cu is added, is used. The fluorescent pigment is added to the light emitting layer 3, besides the phosphor. As a binder of the light emitting ink, the mixture of acetic acid - n - butylcarbitol is used. The insulating layer 4, which is formed by printing with the insulating ink, is formed on the light emitting layer 3. As the insulating ink, a mixture obtained by mixing barium titanate in the binder, which is obtained by mixing the fluororesin and the acetic acid - n - butylcarbitol, is used. The binder, which contains the fluororesin, and the insulating layer 4 prevent the intrusion of moisture into the light emitting layer 3.

SOLUTION: A step motor M is constituted of a rotor 1 having permanent magnets, a pair of stators 12 and 12 which are provided on both sides of the rotor 1, and coils 13 which excite the stators 12 and 12. A side pressure is always applied to the shaft 1a of the rotor 1 from an energizing means 15 which is supported by a supporting projection 10d provided on a lower plate 10. The energizing means 15 is composed of a coiled spring formed by coiling a piano wire and one arm section 15a of the means 15 is supported by a projection 10e protruded from the lower plate 10. The other arm 10b of the means 15 is elastically brought into contact with the shaft 1a of the rotor 1 so that the arm 10b can apply the side pressure to the shaft 1a.

A circuit board 5 is installed on the back side of the holding member 4, and electric elements which are used in common and exclusively for an optical triangulation system and an ultrasonic measuring system are mounted. The distance measuring means 2 measures distance in a short-distance region, and the distance measuring means 3 measures distance in a long-distance region.
