    • PURPOSE:To perform the desired control of a control system and a control circuit with less control signals by controlling different systems by using the same signal line. CONSTITUTION:A control signal outputted from a port 17 is connected to a pin 20a of a connector and set to a low or high potential by a CPU 14. On a substrate 11, a control signal inputted to a pin 32a of a connector 32 is connected to the input of an inverter 21 and when this control signal is set to a high potential, an LED 25 illuminates, but when the signal is set to a low potential, the LED 25 goes out. A control signal outputted to a pin 32b of the connector 32, on the other hand, becomes the temperature detection signal of a thermistor R28 when the control signal inputted from the pin 32a is set to the low potential or the temperature detection signal of a thermistor R30 when the signal is set to the high potential. Namely, the control signal which controls the illumination state of the LED 25 and the control signal which specifies one of the thermistors R28 and R30 are sent by using the same signal line.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent transferring abnormality by monitoring the state of a transferring opening of a continuous form passing a continuous form transferring device by means of a sensor and correcting the transferring abnormality in accordance with the detecting result in a printer apparatus which is adapted to print the continuous form. CONSTITUTION:A printer using continuous forms is provided with a continuous form transferring device TR which consists of a continuous form transferring belt 1 having a projection to be engaged with a transferring opening of a continuous form P and a wheel 2 for rotating the transferring belt 1. The transferring opening of the continuous form P is engaged with the projection of the transferring belt 1 by a retainer plate 3. A pair of sensors 5 are provided at both sides of the transferring belt 1 to detect the abnormality, for example, the positional misalignment of the transferring opening of the continuous form P, the relative positional displacement or the like. A transfer abnormality correcting device 6 is set corresponding to each sensor 5. When the sensors 5 detect that the transferring abnormality tends to occur, the transfer abnormality correcting device 6 are activated to help press and forward the continuous form P by respective auxiliary transfer rollers 6R of the devices 6. Accordingly, the transferring abnormality is corrected.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent the printing of the excessive dot accompanied by the increase of a printing speed by providing a means forming a control signal gradually extending the charge time of a piezoelectric element as becoming a dot to be printed. CONSTITUTION:A printing head 20 is driven by a drive means 12 corresponding to the control signal from a control signal forming means 11 forming the control signal gradually extending the charge time of a piezoelectric element 30 as becoming a dot to be printed later. By this constitution, kinetic energy allowing a printing pin 35 to strike printing paper to be ready to return is gradually reduced in respective processes from the predetermined dot in a continuous dot row to the final dot therein. Therefore, even when the charge time applied to the piezoelectric element 30 at a time of the printing of the final dot accompanied by the increase of a printing speed is not taken sufficiently long, the kinetic energy preserved in the printing pin 35 at the time of the printing of the final dot has been reduced and, by applying a predetermined charge time/discharge time, the sufficient control of the printing pin 35 becomes possible.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent the breakage of a circuit to be protected by a method wherein a power supply line for the circuit to be protected is cut automatically when the circuit is connected to an AC power supply having a high voltage higher than a predetermined voltage. CONSTITUTION:When the input terminals 1a, 1b of a rectifier 1 are connected to an AC power supply, whose voltage exceeds a predetermined level, the DC voltage between output terminals 1c, 1d exceeds a predetermined voltage whereby a first switching transistor 3 is put ON and an electric current, being conducted through a second switching transistor 8, flows through the first switching transistor 3. As a result, the second switching transistor 8 is put OFF and the exciting of a circuit 100 to be protected is stopped. According to this method, the breakage of the circuit 100 to be protected can be prevented.
