The final coating layer 30 is in contact with both the ferrite particles 11 and the impregnated phase 20 at the boundary 40 between the impregnated phase 20 and the final coating layer 30.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that when moisture enters a gap of a ceramic electronic component, the reliability of electrical insulation or life property deteriorates.SOLUTION: In order to prevent moisture from entering a gap, water repellency is imparted at least to the component body 2 of a ceramic electronic component 1 by using a water repellent treatment agent. Water repellency is imparted at least to the component body 2 by using a water repellent treatment agent dissolved by using a supercritical fluid such as a supercritical COfluid as a solvent. Preferably, the water repellent treatment agent on the outer surface of the component body 2 is removed after imparting water repellency. A silane coupling agent, a silicon-based compound or a fluorine-based compound is used suitably as the water repellent treatment agent.
