      SOLUTION: The oscillator includes: a resonant circuit 31 for generating a resonant signal; a drive circuit 32 that feeds back the resonant signal to the resonant circuit, and an output terminal 37 connected to a given node of the resonant circuit, an oscillation signal of the oscillator outputted via the output terminal. The resonance circuit includes an inductor 33, and the output terminal 37 is connected to one end of the inductor 33. Or the output terminal 37 is connected to an intermediate node of the inductor located between both ends of the inductor 33.

    • PURPOSE:To increase a variable range of frequencies by changing the capacity of a varactor diode at the same level between the tuning potentials of two varactor diodes having connected cathodes respectively. CONSTITUTION:A resonator C is connected to an amplifier part D by a capacitor C1 and grounded through a resistance R1, and the intersecting point of the R1 is connected to the anode of a varactor diode D1. The cathode of the D1 is connected to the cathode of a tuning diode D2, and a tuning potential Br is applied to a connection point of both cathodes. Then the anode of the D2 is connected to an end of a resonance line L1, and this L1 is grounded partially through a resistance R5. While the other end of the L1 is connected to the cathode of a varactor diode D3 through the C3. The anode of the D3 is grounded and the potential Br is applied to the connection point of the D3 and the C3. Therefore the changing ratio is increased for the synthetic capacity for tuning. This increases the changing ratio of frequency.

    • PURPOSE:To reduce the size and cost of a transistor (TR) oscillator by composing the oscillator except a resonance circuit of a TR, resistances, and capacitors, and making the obtained circuit into a monolithic-IC chip structure. CONSTITUTION:A microstrip line having relatively high Q is used as the resonance circuit 2, and the part except the resonance circuit is formed of the TR which does not use an inductance, resistances, and capactiors. This obtained circuit is made into the monolithic-IC chip structure 1. This IC chip and the resonance circuit using the microstrip line are coupled electromagnetically on the same substrate. Consequently, an IC chip of the same kind is used in a wide frequency band, so the size and cost of the TR oscillator are reduced.
